Clean rooms, big beds and nice staff! Muffins and cereal for breakfast! The rooms only have a portable heater and a fan. They advertise as they have a pool but it has been filled in and the vending machine looks like it's been out of service for a long time. It's nice for the price though!

Was in Monterey for a wedding. Stayed here July 15-18, 2017. Rooms were dated but everything was clean. Lots of room. Stayed in the 2 queen with pullout couch as well- which we didnt use. Comfy beds and pillows. Decent water pressure in the shower! Good sized mini fridge. Great location. No issues with parking. Decent breakfast with bread, muffins and cereal. Staff very friendly! My only complaint (which is small) is that the pool was not swim able. The water was green and it was dirty, which I thought was odd for the middle of July. Would definitely stay here again if I happen to go to Monterey!

This hotel was clean and the staff was very polite. We are a family of eight (six children) and wanted to get two rooms. I called the Inn about a week before I booked the rooms and spoke with Neal. He was very nice and described the rooms for me. They do not have adjoining rooms like I wanted, but we decided to book here anyway. We made a note on the website when we made the reservation that we wanted a room with a little living room. The room with the queen beds had a little side room with a small couch. When I called the morning of Neal knew exactly who I was and had the rooms ready. The rooms were a little dated, but clean (which was much more important to us). The WiFi was not great and the t.v. in one of the rooms didn't have a great picture, but again, that wasn't as important to us. We would definitely book here again.

Stay clear!
After sliding the room key to open up the room, the aroma of Grandma Jones's corpse suffocated my fiancé and I. Either the room had been vacant for awhile (since 1920 when Grandma Jones died) or the place really lacked cleanliness.
When looking around for different places to book, my fiancé and I placed great importance on affordability. In the details this place advertised a "continental breakfast" which really caught our eye. We figured this place would be great to stay the night, recoup, and feed our faces with a decent breakfast (we did not have high expectations). The shock came when we entered the "dining room" (a room with a box full of prepackaged cinnamon buns) for breakfast. We were very enthused knowing our stomachs would be full of artificial sweeteners.

Service was great, ended up being a little late to checkout and they were more concerned that I had missed breakfast than that I was late checking out. Would recommend.

I stayed there March 20-24th, 2017. The rooms aren't the fanciest, but they are cozy and "homey" and very clean. We had a beautiful little garden right outside our door, but the best part was the staff. The manager there is honestly a great person, he tries hard and it shows clearly! He does a great little breakfast in the office and the motel is in a FANTASTIC location. Right in the middle of everything. Not too far from beautiful beaches along the coast, and about a 5-10 minute drive to the Monterey bay Aquarium. Not to mention the awesome prices for the rooms. Will definitely be staying here again!(:

A budget hotel/motel in Monterey. You get what you pay for, a good bed, OK sheets, worn but functional furniture, a small bathroom. All perfectly usable and comfortable, if not much to look at. For the price in this area - a really good deal. The only thing I really dislike is the climate control, really noisy and doesn't heat well at all.

The staff was courteous. The room was cozy; a little small but it worked great for the price. My only qualm would be that my room had a little heater in it that didn't heat the room entirely. The other rooms had larger in-wall ac units. Luckily, it wasn't too terribly cold outside.
