There's a sincerely nice and caring staff at the Columbus Marriott. Reggie the bellman was especially warm and helpful! The staff here compares favorably with the staff at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, which is saying a lot! Thanks, you guys!

Beware of theft and terrible hotel decline. I had hotel staff go into my personal cosmetic bag and steal my prescription medicine. This was not sitting out so do not leave items in your room. The police did not act surprised when they arrived to write their report. The hotel did not assign my room based on my Marriott preferences. The bathroom had mildew. The overall hotel needs paint and looks old and outdated. There was no hot water at night for bath or for shower in the morning. The equipment in the fitness center is broken and the room is a terrible dark, hot space. My coworkers also had terrible experiences. It is best to find a different place to stay.

I stayed the night at this hotel and got charged twice. When I called up there they couldn't find me in the system and I asked to speak with the manager she was busy. I called 2 more times throughout the week still nothing. I even went up to the hotel 7 days later manager still busy and still haven't called back. I don't know how they conduct business on a professional level. If you are looking for a good hotel where you are valued as a customer I would look else where. I contacted my bank and they said that the manager will not refund my money due to me not being in the system. Well if I'm not in the system then give me all my money back right? Both charges!!

Great experience! The staff was excellent, everyone we met was very nice and helpful! We stayed in one of the king suites on the mill side and the room was large; brick walls, wooden beams exposed, comfy bed & clean restrooms. Train is loud but we only heard it once a night & it didn't last long. Our family will definitely stay here during our next visit to Columbus!

Rooms are dated, furniture didn’t match, old gold lamps mixed with silver more modern nightstand lamps. The tile in the room is old and dingy. Poor bathroom lighting. Counters are low and I’m only 5’5. Hotel is next to an active train line with long trains and a loud horn. Trains run through the night. It feels more like a motel instead of a Marriott. The area is nice as well as the conference center but this hotel needs a major upgrade.

No ac in hallways. A little warm. Our ac didn't cool properly. Excellent friendly staff. Offered to move us. There for a reunion and not worth the effort.

The hotel is located across from the Columbus Iron Works conference center where I attended a conference. It's very convenient to downtown coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Common areas are clean and attractive, though the decor is somewhat out of date. Staff were courteous, professional, and helpful. My room was in the main part of the hotel and was a bit musty. The furnishings were a little worn and in need of updates. This hotel is directly beside train tracks and trains honked loudly during the night. My shower squealed loudly. Would recommend this hotel to those wanting convenience to a conference, but only if you get a deal on the rate.

One of top Marriott's I've stayed in! Very unique entrace hall and historic feeling. The staff is extremely kind and always with a positive attitude. The ladies running the concierge lounge do an amazing job. Thank you for a great stay in Columbus, GA.

Great location, very comfortable bed, fridge and microwave. It's hard to beat. The attached restaurant had a good breakfast. The hallways in the hotel are not air conditioned like newer buildings, but the rooms are excellent. I went back and lowered my review after experiencing several service issues. 4 separate times I had to return to the desk because my magnetic key would not work. Management was not bothered by this at all. There are better hotel options.

Improved and updated from last time we stayed here. Employees very friendly and helpful. Glad we gave them a second chance. Walking distance to everything downtown and Bay Ave.

Walls and doors are paper thin. Management does nothing to police noisy guests which have been plentiful during our long stay here. Gym is an overflow playground for kids from pool. Rooms are old. Lobby looks cool and restaurant is good, but probably worst Marriott stay I've experienced.

We hosted a Squadron Leader Resiliency retreat there today and it was a great event. We ordered both breakfast and lunch and both the food and service were great. Only thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars was that it would be great to leave the coffee service through the seminar.

First off, the lobby of the Columbus Marriott is one of the most impressive lobbies outside of a resort hotel I've seen. The staff is great, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the water pressure is just right, the location is perfect, the hotel amenities are nice, the parking is plentiful, and having an old mill with the old millstones used as decorations at the entrances are a nice touch. The exhaust in the bathroom wasn't the most effective, but this is an older building, so who knows how possible that would be to improve. The railroad is nearby and I heard a train around midnight and again around 6am, but that added to the experience of staying in a converted brick mill in the middle of the South next to the Chattahouchee river.

This hotel had the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever experienced at a hotel.. Southern hospitality at its finest. I wish I could remember the name of the fine lady who was cleaning the hotel late at night. When I needed to do laundry she personally showed me to the laundry room, provided a few spare quarters and REFUSED my offer to repay her. I hope that she is well rewarded for her exceptional service. Excellent location, as well.
