I look at the 4.2 Stars this restaurant has and I wanted to give it a -1000 star rating to normalize this over acclaimed brunch spot. Altogether it's not deserving of one star but it certainly isn't deserving of four or five stars which a predominant amount of their patrons seem to think. I knew better than eating here. I've suffered through terrible meals there multiple times but I watched my fiance try to shovel down a pound of canned peppers that were garnished with two poached eggs. Skip this place if you're a fan of good food, go for it if you don't want to wonder to far from the TV dinner you have become accustomed to.

Great easy to find location at the corner of Frankford and Preston. Had an opportunity to eat dinner, which was a club sandwich. Great shoestring fries, and plenty of them. After the dinner I was able to get some work done with the free WiFi.
Our meeting was in the meeting room in the front, and it’s a great space for a size of our group.
Definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner, or a group meeting.response / report this review -

Really great food & cool environment. Great ambiance & decor. Awesome to be able to bring our dogs. But the SERVICE is TERRIBLE. I think they try to hire too many artsy hipsters- and not enough professional servers. Because its close to our home & we love the food/coffee, we have come back over & over. I cant say we have ever had good service. I really hope they get their act together before its too late.

The service is great, food is also great. I like the fresh herb omelette. They come with house potatoes, which are amazing and by far the best breakfast potatoes I’ve had.
The orange juice is freshly squeezed and their coffee is the best around the area.
Can’t beat $2 mimosas either!

We decided to try this restaurant because of the reviews on their Latte. The Latte was good!
The hosts didn't smile, we're stern, not friendly, just 'seated us and sternly answered questions'. 😮
The server was a good guy, efficient and helpful as possible, but he was new and didn't have all the answers.
The food gets a mixed review. My 93 yo mother loved her eggs, potatoes and sausage!
My husband and I are gluten-free. The restaurant offers gluten-free bread to replace dishes that call for bread.
My husband went for the chef salad, no croutons - no problem.
I decided on the grilled brie with spinach & mushrooms (gluten-free bread please) and fries. It came on a dried out gluten-free BUN (not bread) not grilled, obviously microwaved. The fries were delicious, but the 'sandwich' was a MAJOR fail.
Also note . their prices were high for a coffee house. Examples: Mom's eggs were $9.95, a salmon dinner entree was $16.95.response / report this review -

This is a great/breakfast lunch place, with comfortable atmosphere and friendly waitstaff serving food with good prices. The unfortunately part is that most of the food is so mild it treads the line of bland very closely. The coffee (at least on my last few visits) has been very weak, almost the color of brewed tea. The lemon ricotta pancakes were flat in flavor, and gluey in the center. I have had no issues with their lunch menu, and while all else is fantastic, they need to be a bit more liberal with the seasoning.

I'm giving 4 stars based on the food and atmosphere, this is a cool place and the food was very good, but our server was either new, not properly trained or just didn't care.
This was our first visit so I'm not going to say the experience was bad due to one person.

This place has become a brunch staple for me lately. Staff is great and very welcoming. Their coffee is awesome and they have great food options as well. I frequently visit on Sunday mornings, and it can be pretty crowded but I always enjoy my breakfast. Their lemon ricotta pancakes and their signature latte (and maybe a mimosa or two) is my go-to order. I have tried their afternoon happy hour once or twice as well and it was a chill and really reasonably priced experience (half price apps, drinks for under $6). Definitely worth a visit!

Love the huge bar, and the sectioned off rooms. We were easily able to hear one another without concern of bothering others. Looks like a great place to hold meetings.

Quality used to be much better (I've been a customer for 6+ years). Past few times I have visited there were small flies, the food was subpar, it's slow even when not crowded. Menu has also changed. The signature house latte is still out of this world and worth the trip by itself, but this is no longer my favorite spot.

My wife and I found this place and came several times and we simply love the food!!
My wife love the vegetarian burger.
The staff is very friendly.
Very good service!! Nice atmosphere and beautiful decorated.
One time we came really late. 20 min before closing and everybody were friendly and we enjoyed our food, no one rushed us.

Coffee House Cafe has a nice neighbor-y vibe to it. It's cozy and feels familiar. I love their outside patio, which has a fireplace there when it gets chilly at night, and I try to study there when I know it won't be super busy. Prices are very reasonable, and if you get on their mailing list, they're constantly sending pretty attractive discounts and offers!
