Clean, quiet, & reasonably priced. A short drive to Hershey Chocolate World. Recommended.
Great place to stay for the money .the room was clean and had everything we needed. Quiet and comfortable.
Very disappointed with our experience at the Cocoa Country Inn.
Pros: front desk staff was friendly (when available), good location (with Palermo's across the street, Hershey Park a few miles away, quiet area), pool looked refreshing and clean (we didn't use it).
Cons: staff was not readily available upon check-in and there is no bell for service at the front desk, room was not ready when/as promised, toilet did not flush without starting to overflow our entire 2-night stay, the shower spigot was reversed (hot & cold) and the tub filled with 2" of standing water while showering, the room was filthy (not vacuumed, toothpaste in the bathroom sink/floor/mirror smudged, previous guests' hair on the shower tile/in the clogged drain), the fridge leaked, the electrical sockets were hanging out of the walls, appliances were plugged in by thin extension cords that tripped frequently, the "free Wifi" gave us one bar signal so it was useless, the door keys took sometimes 3-4 times to work (exterior and room doors), the exterior doors were propped and left open all day until evening (safety issue, let wasps in, and made the hallways hot and humid), no one is available in the office after 6:00 pm, no smoking allowed anywhere (inside nor outside) within 50 feet of the property, maintenance apparently came into our room while we were out and took back the plunger he said we could keep in our room for the duration of our stay.
We didn't expect an upscale hotel for the price of $99/night, BUT we expected a functioning toilet, no fire hazards (with leaking appliances and exposed electrical outlets -- surely not up to code), a clean room, and fully functioning room keys. Very disappointing that after enjoying two fun days at Hershey Park, we didn't look forward to being able to come back and relax in our room for the night. Definitely would not recommend, nor would we return.
Nice small hotel. Simple but clean, spacious room. Everything in order and good condition, microwave, coffee, cable TV. Very nice pool. 15 minutes away from Hersheypark. I gave 5 stars because it gives very good value for money and I had no complaints. Although could have left more shampoo bottles in the bathroom.
So we had a terrible experience on coming here. We payed the price of $135 instead of matching the price of $104. A lady there was telling us how it was possible to match the price so we could stay there and enjoy the night and when the "manager" there was telling us that they can't do that. If they couldn't have done that from the start then they shouldn't have told us they where going to match the price for us. Plus the rooms where terrible and I think there was bed bugs as well because I have bite marks all over my body. I truly hope no one stays here! Pictures on the site are not accurate to what I seen. Be careful on coming here.
I was concerned before I got there because of the mixed reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. It is not the most contemporary hotel, but the staff was friendly, I received paper instructions for reaching them after the office closed. The room was clean and well stocked. The room was cleaned and restocked while we were out. The towels were big and comfy. It was not fancy, but better than average and I had more money to spend on the Hershey attractions than if I had gone for a fancy hotel. I was very pleased.
The worst place I've ever stayed. the shower didn't work they locked us out of our room after we asked for a late check-in. Then casually told us will be there in 20 minutes or so to let you in. I would stay away and the only way I would recommend this hotel would be to someone I did not like. I gave it one star because they're surprisingly was not any bugs.
The rooms were great and the service was okay. I would stay there again
Very nice! Front stuff was very professional and very friendly. The bath rooms are a little run down though, but other than that great expeiriance!
We stayed in room 113. It was very convenient to the main office. There was a lot of street noise all night and the heating/air system was very loud. It was ok for the 1 night we were there but i dont know that i could stay much longer than that.
I think this was an amazing rate for the area! The building is older and their is only 1 person on staff but I think if you are looking for a good rate you are safe here. The building is clean and the rooms have been modestly updated. There is no Elevator for a second floor room so make sure you tell them if you need to be on a ground floor. I will definitely come back here.
