I was treated very rudely by these young gals i, the surrender area. I found two kittens, was able to catch them with food. They wouldn't let me in before 11, told me if they were sick, they couldn't take them. I went back again to the other adoption side after driving around with the poor babies for an hour, and an older nice lady was opening door for a customer adopting. I told her my situatiin, that they wouldn't let me,in, she said that's unheard of. I said I'm not lying. When I get in, I get a lecture, was basically being botched at being told they didn't have room. One of the kittens had an upper respiratory infection she said. Unbelievable!!! Here I am trying to do the right thing. They need to get rid of these girls. They acted like I owed them something and I had to kiss their butts. Unreal!!

I went there to try and adopt a cat for both companionship and to catch mice/scare them away. This option is on their sheet of paper. They did not like the idea of a cat catching mice, even though they are their natural predator. And the cat I was looking at, he didn’t even look like he would had caught the mice anyway but I just loved him. By them being so fixated on mice catching part, I was not able to adopt a cat who has been there for 6 months already. The staff was extremely rude with her nasty attitude. Happy I went somewhere else and got two lovable cats who are apart of my family.

We love coming here and playing with all the kitties! We always go see the dogs too but they are much too loud and not as cuddly. Some times they have real fat cats and we like to guess their weights, just like the carnival! One of the best free afternoons in the city.

I was part of the foster to surrender program. Was told the first day that we could adopt one of the kittens in our care at the end of the program. Brought them in today and was told that we would be unable to do so because we were fosters. Excuse given to us was that "our policy is changing". Left completely heartbroken after being made to pay $20 to surrender them. We'd given attitude from start to finish. Won't be going through this facility again.

After I lost my cat Sprite I came here to see if I could find me a special feline friend, which I did. His name was Skully but I changed it to Lucci ,turned out to be the Greatest cat ever. And the people who helped me with the adoption process were angels in disguise. Thank you lady's for being so kind and helpful to me

I used to go every Friday after work to pet the cats. Cheaper than therapy and happy hour, safer on the liver, and a cat's purr has healing properties.

I usually adopt from here, but beware. They will adopt out very sick animals with you being unaware. When I adopted my cat last year, I was told that she was previously returned because she didn't get along with other animals. Nothing else. Come to find out she had severe kidney failure and lymphoma among other things. Despite this, I kept her, took her to the vet regularly and did everything I could for her until it got to the point that she was too sick to continue on. The intake employee was great, as is the rest of the staff.

Everyone is very friendly and wants to find the dogs and cats good homes. Clean facilities and a nice area to meet pets if you're interested in adopting.

They were very caring and respectful and helpful when I took my mother's 17 1/2 year old dog to put her to rest. We were given as much time as needed to say our good byes to her

Worst place ever. My daughter and I attempted to bring a cat that abandoned by our neighbors and this sweet cat just had six kittens. I could not care for that many cats and I was told to bring them in. Not that I needed an appointment or that I would need to pay money. When we get the lady at the front desk was cold and short, sort of rude. The grabs the cat out of the box by the back of the neck after we told her she was a sweet cat not a feral cat. The lady left the cat dangling while she looks at her. Puts her on the desk and holds her down to what I though was rough and gave her a shot. When I asked what type of shot she was giving her. She ignored me for a moment and then said feline leukemia. Then she said I should of had an appointment and the people up front should not of told me to bring her in without an appointment and then tells me I had to pay $60.00 to drop off the cat. I told her this was not my animal and she said it was for their cost of care. I told her I understood and If it was my pet that I was surrendering I would understand paying. I told her I was not paying for an animal that was not mine. She calls the security and he was even ruder to me than the lady at the desk. I was a little frustrated at that point because no one told me up front what to expect. Then the security guard tells me that was a great way to act in front of my child. Well my child is fifteen and a half and has her own opinion. She wanted to volunteer there when she turned 16 because she loves animals. Then the lady asked me again for the money and I told her I did not have any money. Then the security guard said you have no money on you at all. Rude! So I dug through my purse and I did have ten dollars and I told them that is all I had on me. I was so frustrated I told them I wanted the cat and kittens and I would take better care of them then they would. The security guard told me I had to give them my ten dollars to get the cat and kittens back. Then another guy started to put the cat and the kittens back in the box and did not have gloves on. He was handling newborn kittens with his hands. Then lady at the desk said, "you might want to put gloves on" Sure thing cause the mom to reject the kittens. I would never recommend anyone taking any pet there. The are rude and don't handle the animals properly and all they cared about was getting the money and not protecting this sweet cat and her six kittens.

I had an awesome experience her on January 25 I went and adopted a beautiful rottweiler from tjem my Nadia (aka ) Bernice she is a wonderful beautiful loving baby the only thing is she does not like getting in a car and when I picked her up all the employees were wonderful they all came out and helped me get her in the car this is the best place I have ever adopted from everyone so helpful and so nice. Thank You so much for my Nadia.

I love this place. The staff works super hard to make sure all of the animals are well taken care of. I wish I could rescue them all. But, the city frowns upon that. Thank you for what you do
