Feel myself obligated to leave 5 star review to all employees of this hotel.
Starting from the gentlemen greeting you outside the building to the front desk workers, as well as cleaning ladies .
Our week stay there was last month & it felt like being home. Everyone was super helpful & attentive. Location wise, it couldn't be better with everything within walking distance or a short ride. Parking right next to the building , beautiful views of the bay. Balcony was a treat & sunsets & sunrises - an unexpected bonus. Took tons of pix straight from the balcony . Thanks again & hope to see you soon.
The hotel is very old but you couldn't tell. Rooms are all 2 room suites with 2 tv's. Perfect for families. Pool area was very large and very nice with a great bar. Had a bunch of Fire pits. Great views.
We stay at many hotels typically Marriott and this one is definitely is at the top our list. The rooms are spacious, the views are breadth taking and they cater to kids very well. They even treated my husband to champagne on his birthday!!! We can't wait to go back!
Nothing but compliments for this hotel! Everything was beyond top notch! We came down for our honeymoon, and this was by far one of the most memorable places I've ever stayed. They were helpful in food suggestions, places to see, and things to do. For our stay they even provided us two free bottles of champagne and strawberries. This place cares about its guests and it is very evident!
My girlfriend took me here for a weekend of relaxation as a birthday present. We had a great time. The rooms are very nice and have a nice view of the intercoastal. We ate at the restaurant in the lobby for dinner which was better than I expected. They knew it was my birthday a prepared me a complimentary dessert which was a nice surprise. The next day we enjoyed relaxing by the pool and having a few cocktails from the bar. It was a really great weekend.
Very nice hotel. The rooms were nice and a great size. The staff really made the visit very nice. They were extremely helpful and accommodating.
Loved staying here at sand key. I come all the time! This is my 1st time at the mariott and WOW am i impressed. Amazing amenities and features but what i loved most may have been their pet bird Lisa! What a great idea the guests all love her.
Could not have asked for a better hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, courteous and eager to please. We stayed there whilst in the midst of hurricane Irma and unfortunately we had to be evacuated. The night prior to the evacuation however, all shops and restaurants were closed due to evacuation and myself, my partner and 4 children were stuck in our rooms. I asked the concierge whether they are still doing food at the in hotel restaurant (although it was 10pm), and he went to ask the cook. The cook came out and explained that he has turned on the fryers to drop me some fries for the lot of us and asked if I wanted any drinks. When I offered payment, he declined and told us he wouldn't let guests be hungry In this time of need. The concierge then gave us 4 cookies for the children too. If it wasn't for the evacuation I would have gladly stayed longer, definitely the best hotel I've stayed in, no bad words about it.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a clogged sink, the maintenance man arrived promptly and fixed the problem quickly. Mike the driver of the beach van is very personable and a great asset to the hotel. The pool & splash pad for the kids is fantastic. Really the only negative thing I can think of is the lack of storage / drawer space in the suites. Other than that, we had a very nice vacation and wouldn't hesitate for a minute to stay here again.
This was absolutely one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. I had a wonderful view of the beach while looking right out of my front window and was able to catch the sun setting each evening. Sitting on the back balcony was just as wonderful because I was over looking the hotel pool and hot tub. I was also able to watch people riding their jet skis and see the big sail boats cruising past. That was all of the motivation that I needed each morning to get out and get my day started by heading down to the beach and taking a stroll along the beach.
The hospitality and friendliness of the hotel staff would make me recommend this place to anyone who goes to Clearwater on vacation. I had a wonderful time and look forward to going back here again in the near future.
We stayed 4 years ago at this hotel and enjoyed it so much that we returned to find out they renovated the rooms a bit so they appear more spacious and the shower is amazing! We arrived and Wilmer the bellman was exceptional. He gave us a tour of our room and told us about the activities going on that day. On our day of departure we called for a bellman and he was there in 3 minutes. Great worker and knowledgeable. It rained our whole trip so we didn't really get to enjoy much of the amenities however the little time we spent at the pool, the water was really cold and people were smoking next to our kids and the kiddie pool so we decided to leave. Also the kiddie pool was dirty and could of used some cleaning. Overall though it was beautiful and fun atmosphere. The last day the boiler broke so no hot shower for us. I was super disappointed because I was really looking forward to using the amazing shower one last time. They compensated us with 2 free American breakfasts. The food was cold and the area was messy and sticky. Food was mediocre in taste so definitely not worth paying almost 19 dollars a person for breakfast. Server was nice and tried to let us know when new food was brought out. Unfortunately didn't catch her name. Also we did not use the valet service but since it rained so much we would unload the children at the front and the black gentleman (sorry didn't get his name either) was so helpful and assisted in making sure nobody got wet. Overall I love this hotel and would come back.
We were originally staying in Orlando for our entire vacation but after a really bad experience at our hotel in Orlando for the first few days. We decided to ditch Orlando and head to the beach. I'm so glad we did. This hotel was so nice, clean and the staff were very delightful to deal with especially Dylan who went above and beyond to make our time at this Marriott resort an enjoyable one. My kids enjoyed their time here more then they did in Orlando including Disney world. When I asked them were they wanted the next vacation to be they responded with come back to Clearwater Beach and stay at this hotel. My only regret is we didn't spend our entire vacation here. We will definitely be back! Thank you for saving our family vacation :)
Decent place for the price (close to $300 average per night). I only went to ask some questions. They provide valet parking which is optional. The hotel is a bit dated, but looks nice. The breakfast is not provided but there are places to buy food within the hotel. There's also a shuttle to the beach. Didn't get a look at the rooms, but from what I was told by the person at the front desk, they're decent. A bit of a tight squeeze for four people though because their best option is 2 double beds and a queen sofa bed. Decent place to stay at for a few days, not so great for a more long-term stay (7+ days).
Very nice hotel. Nice decor. Beautiful views. Live music at night. Bathroom and floors could've been cleaned better. Pool area was a bit crowded. Hotel is not located on the beach.
Perfect location for our family getaway! The rooms were big and plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. We loved the kitchenette with a microwave and mini fridge. We missed a bathtub for our kiddos, but managed with the shower and spray hose. The pool area was wonderful, large, and well kept. Saturday afternoon it was busy and full, but Sunday morning we pretty much had the place to ourselves! We even enjoyed ice cream by a fire pit before heading upstairs for bed. This is a great location for families!
