This was the highlight of our NYC trip! The boat was beautiful, safe, and clean. They didn’t pack a ton of people on so it felt very safe and relaxing. The staff was attentive and friendly. It was perfect and a great value!
I searched for over a month for the perfect NY Harbor cruise, and I highly recommend Classic Harbor Line. We boarded at Chelsea Piers and cruised the Hudson down to the Statue of Liberty at sunset. What a magical and peaceful end to our travel day and first day in NYC! Open bar, indoor & outdoor seating for around 20 or so comfortably. We had 12 in our group and had ample space to move around. The crew was great. Great service. Great source of info about the buildings and the area. 10/10
I booked one of their cruises as a wedding gift for my best friend and her husband. They sailed Friday afternoon on the Schooner America 2.0 and had the most amazing time. They couldn’t stop thanking me for such a wonderful experience. They enjoyed every minute of the trip. They stated that the staff was very friendly and courteous. I am so happy they enjoyed the cruise and I will definitely try it when I go to New York.
My boyfriend and I, had such a great time on our 1st brunch cruise. We were in our own space amongst everyone. We felt really safe. The staff was so respectful and attentive. Everyone was in great spirits. We were in the water for about 3 hours, so many views, so many bridges, a lot of buildings, jet skis, boats, parks, cars etc. The drinks and food were AMAZING!!!! Wonderful experience, everyone should experience this at least once in life!!!
This is a must for anyone who visits NYC. The sail was peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. The staff were so accommodating and professional. This time we brought the family, but the cruise is great for date nights or girl's night out. It's a great way to start your evening in NYC. I am a native New Yorker and I have sailed with Classic Harbor several times now and each time, I've experienced consistent levels of great customer service, beautiful clean sail vessels and fantastic views of the NYC skyline and the Statue of Liberty. It's a great value and a fantastic time.
Wow. I can’t thank you enough. We had an amazing time. The staff are super
friendly and Super sweet.
We did the hot cocoa cruise, it was the best thing ever, me and my friends loved it. We will be back for sure.
What a great way to kick off our holiday-time visit to New York! Relaxed, fun, and that view of the Statue of Liberty wow! The musicians and their interaction with the crowd really set the stage for some great holiday spirit, topped off by beverages and even Christmas cookies delivered to our reserved table. Thanks, all!
This was the most beautiful, romantic and breathtaking experience. It have an amazing view of Manhattan that you wouldn’t otherwise have. The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Brooklyn Bridge, and lower Manhattan are absolutely breathtaking at night. Great wine and appetizer, couldn’t say enough about this experience. An experience that can not be described very well with words. MUST DO!
I reserved a trip for two on the Adirondack about a week out with no problem. It's also October so that may have helped. The location was a little confusing and I had to Google the company to find the address but it was only a slight inconvenience. The experience on the boat was pretty awesome. It was a mix of tourists and locals. The crew was knowledgeable and super friendly. The sights were breathtaking and romantic.
They served three rounds of beer/wine which I wasn't expecting and they also offer to take pictures of your party. **Take cash for a tip**
A unique and enjoyable way to view the NY skyline.
Cruising around Manhattan on both the Hudson, and East River, after sunset was a great way to view the glow Manhattan and the surrounding areas. Including the Statue of Liberty! To top it off was the music of a live jazz band, that played for the majority of the trip. It was a night to remember!
The program was excellent. We all received a detailed map of NYC buildings that were to be seen during the course. The map has the name of the designer and the address of the building - a real value! The presenter was very professional, gave valuable insight to NYC's rich architecture. Friendly staff, nice and clean boat. Recommended to everyone who is interested in architecture!
We went on the Adirondack sailboat, can't say enough about the entire experience from the ticket booth All the way through the from beginning to end. The crew and captain were excellent. The views were spectacular, we chose the sunset cruise with stairs of liberty I recommend this one! don't hesitate book it, you won't be disappointed. The best part is I got to take my7 year old on her very first boat ride. She still hasn't stopped talking about it. Thanks to the crew for working so hard to make our experience a great one.
I booked a large group for the Statue of Liberty cruise aboard Schooner Adirondack. The entire experience was top notch, from the professional, fun crew to the boat (very roomy!) and great drinks. Thank you for an awesome cruise!
My family and I spent a great afternoon seeing the NYC skyline and Statue of Liberty from the harbor. The crew was outstanding; knowledgeable, very friendly and provided great service! I loved being out on a smaller boat with far fewer passengers than some of the other boats we saw touring the harbor. I would highly recommend Classic Harbor Line for a great way to experience NYC!
I had literally the most delightful evening aboard the America 2.0. I can't express highly enough how much I loved the cruise, the boat, and the view. We were a major fan of the a female crew.
Heather was extremely professionally and suave as she delivered our safety message. Stephanie who was our server was absolutely delightful and attentive.Miriam was not located on our side of the vessel but the interactions we overheard were lovely.
Rebecca is what sparked our night. My boyfriend and I met sailing. Rebecca is a passionate sailor and helped us take true appreciation of the boat.
Miriam was not located on our side of the vessel but the interactions we overheard were lovely.
I think I'm hard to please, read my other reviews. I loved loved loved this cruise and I would do it again in a heart beat.
My husband and I went on the Adirondack Schooner. It was a great trip to celebrate our anniversary! The crew Captain Catherine, Danny and Caleb were attentive, funny and all around awesome. They definitely added to the great experience of sailing the Hudson. We had amazing views of the city. We loved the fact that there was a limited amount of people on the sailboat, that made it so much better than being on a large boat with lots of tourists. It was a slightly windy day at the end of October and they offered us blankets and hot drinks. We are ex New Yorkers born and raised and it was a wonderful way to see our city again in this unique way. We highly recommend this trip!!!
Can't say enough about how great Cat and her crew were! We absolutely loved our harbor lights tour.
Read their site & heed their advice, and depending on the time of year plan to be chilly on the water. It drizzled and was pretty cold on the way back; they did provide ponchos and blankets but bring an extra jacket and you'll be glad you did.
Their website doesn't mention anything about gratuity, which I wish it did - they will accept tips at the end, and they deserve them. Cat was a great tour guide pointing out sites, and factoids for us along the way. Her crew was funny, kept our drinks full, and even snapped multiple pictures for us.
Highly, highly recommend!
I did their romantic sunset sail on the Schooner sail-boat and it was absolutely amazing and the definite highlight of my trip. It is much, much better than the daytime cruises, especially those offered on bigger, modern, soulless yachts. You could try to score a deal on Groupon but even if you must pay the full price, go for this! Their boat sets sail just before sunset, goes all the way to the Statue of Liberty where you have plenty of photo opportunities and then it takes you back to the city as you watch the lights go up. It takes about two hours and you just don't want it to end :). You also get three rounds of drinks which is a nice bonus.
Our family sail on the Adirondack was a delight on one of NYC's hottest days! The boat is beautiful and her crew most skilled and exceptionally kind and attentive to passengers, including supplying information on the sights. The peacefulness of sailing plus the ability to pass closer to landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and both sides of the Hudson made the experience unique. I recommend this most highly for visitors and NYC residents alike -- and we look forward to enjoying another sail very soon.
