Locked myself out over weekend and was completely frustrated, but help came quickly in the name of SOS (ARI the locksmith) who saved the day, arriving promptly and readily changed my lock and provided me with new keys for a fair price. The whole thing took like 10 minutes.

Fast forward to the next day when I had another mishap (mine) and Ari arrived again to fix the situation. I am completely grateful and thankful, went to their SOS store and got copies right away, folks in the Chelsea store were so kind and also helpful. Really appreciate good local neighbors in this time of Covid, so thank you a million times over.

Unbelievably bad service. Had a key cut, took it home and it didn't work. Came back to get a recut and their second key still didn't work. This shouldn't be an impossible task for professionals with a key cutter. Their jobs should be automated.

Don't trust the quote. Locked out of our apartment, we were quoted $35 for the service, it took the guy 1 minute to open the lock then were told the charge was $185 and $35 was only the "starting price." Feels like a very scammy operation.

Great little shop. SOS helped me rebuild a mortise lock by selling me parts and giving me advice rather than trying to sell their professional service. When I had to bring back the cylinder because of an incompatible cam, they happily switched it out for the right one, for free, on the spot.

This is how you get a repeat customer.

I went in to copy one key, and unlike every other place I'd been, they actually had a blank for it! They were quick, efficient, and professional. I'll definitely go there again if I need anything lock-related.

I needed to make 2 different sets of keys for my boutique PT studio right away. I had previously made the same 2 set of keys on 3 different locksmiths. Unfortunately none of those new set of keys could unlock my studio-office door in the past! What! Really!? So I began searching today for the best locksmith that I can count on and I think I found them on my first try. I am elated for this simple thing, i know, I had to write about it! I hope they continue to excel in their services and provide with great customer service as provided to me today! I will write another review when I shop for more items for my business in the future. Thanks to the guy who attended me today Feb 21st, 2017.

We used this company to update all the locks on the home we acquire and homes we sell and they also did a great job on access control and intercom units on 2 of our buildings. Sos has an impressive inventory of high security locks and new locks on the market that any home owner will love. all the locksmith we spoke to were professional and well trained. We love that they are an established locksmith with licensed and insurance.
Because we build trust along the year and had a great customer service we also did many referrals with our clients

One of their drivers is a total as*hole. He actually hit my car with his mirror. Then gave me the finger. No number on truck. When I called the hotline the person who picked up had no idea who the driver was. What a joke.

guy is a crook, stay away. they sold us a security system that never worked, and then had to replace it. when we attempted to get it resolved and fixed, guy became rude and abusive. one star only because the post will not take zero stars!

Came to the rescue! Twice (yes Twice) I locked myself out of a cheap lockbox. They were very corteous on the phone and promptly came to my house and opened the safe. The second time they suggested getting a better (which means one that I cant lock myself out of) safe. They installed it quickly without a big mess Thanks to them I wont have this problem again Highly recommend

I am very happy with the service that I got at SOS. Guy, who runs the shop, was very nice, communicated with me and helped with my particular situation. One of the Technicians, Donovan, came up to Harlem and retrofitted my old apartment door with a Medico deadbolt. It was not cheap, but they were upfront about cost from the beginning and I got a quality lock with great service. I enjoyed working with SOS and will use them again!
