My Family purchased 1/2 price tickets from Groupon for the "Manhattan Tour." Unfortunately, even 1/2 price was too much money for this event! We expected to hear about NYC, history, architecture, fun facts. All we heard or was pointed out, were assorted stores and restaurants. "There is Forever 21, there is Macy's, there is a Steak place where you can get 1/ 2 price specials," etc, etc. The "Tour" operators were difficult to understand except when asking for tips, which they DID NOT deserve!! The money would have been better spent on subway rides and a do-it-yourself tour book. Rating: D-

Let me start by saying that this is the only one star review I have ever written. If I don't have anything nice to say, I don't say anything. This place is different however. Places like this are the reason why people who live or spend a lot of time in New York can't stand Times Square. So I inquired about claiming a Living Social deal over the phone and said that I can claim the Gullivers Gate and Ripley's museum combo and use those tickets in the next 7 days. When we got there, we were told that we have to use tickets for Gulliver's Gate the same day. It was 4pm already. Ok, we let that go. Now back to the moment we entered the place. One of the employees asked us how long are we staying in NYC. We both said we live here and we just want to claim out tickets. On our way out, the same person claimed they work for Wyndham Hotels stopped us trying to sell us some deal. We said three times we are not interested before we left in the middle of his sentence. He was aggressive, rude and vultureous. To everyone who's visiting this place for any reason; be very ready to put on your rude face and put a lock on your wallets. Do your research to what you want to do in the city beforehand and see if you can avoid this place altogether.

We bought tickets on "Gulliver's Gate" much cheaper than it was on the site of Gulliver's Gate.

CitySights is very poorly run. The line for your ticket is huge. Plan on waiting an hour. When we finally got escorted to the agent we got bumped by another customer and had to wait for the agent to process twenty passes for them The customers behind us were escorted to the other agents while we had to continue to wait. The bus is not included like it says. They want another $35 even though I called to verify bus tour twice and was told it was included. You have to wait in two lines everywhere you go to use these passes so if you like dont like lines this is not for you. Manager at citysights is also not helpfu.CitySights is very poorly run. Cons:
    * Deserves less than a star if google allows that rating
*The AC of the buses doesn't work ! ( afternoon and evening tours are horrible in heat)
*The staff at Union Station is super rude
*The frequency of buses is more than 30 mins instead of "20 mins advertised"
    * I'll never ride or recommend them again

Could not have chosen a worse company to get our tickets from. The day we went it was pouring down rain so we assumed hop on hop off tickets would be the way to go. Our first bus thankfully came quickly, but our tour guide was incredibly rude. When getting off in Little Italy we asked if Lombardi's was close to our drop off, and his response was, "You have a smart phone? yeah? Look it up." When we decided to use the bus again later in the day, we waited, in the pouring rain, for OVER AN HOUR for our bus to come. It was so packed we had to stand, and it took us well over an hour to get to our destination, all the while no tour guide was explaining anything we were seeing. It wouldn't have mattered though because the windows were too foggy to see out. If I could give 0 stars, I would!!!

Great way to see the city when you only have a short time there. The downtown driver had lots of great history information about the city. The uptown driver mostly shared his opinions about the state of affairs. However, still a great ride and look see of a beautiful, historic city.

My experience in general was GREAT. Each of the tours cover a broad area of New York. Buses are well equipped in case of any harsh cold weather (That is GREAT). Some of your tour guides are AWESOME, some other are not so good, and some others are REALLY BAD at what they do.
Timing is perfect for every stop, of course traffic, local events and other conditions (weather) may affect it.
But in general it was GREAT. Thanks.
