Not a bad experience, just felt they could have done better. Didn't explain the vouchers particularly well, a couple of the included tours on our freestyle ticket were closed.
Buses were mostly regular, had to wait 45 mins on one occasion.
Great trip. Except it was 3 degrees and freezing on upper deck. But we are British and I think my upper lip was not stiff. It was frozen.
The tour was nice but the fact there was no air conditioning in the bus was really painful. This is a non sense when you can't open the window and it's 90 degrees outside. What started great ended poorly. We took the subway to get back because it was less painful that taking the bus ride.
The best in New York, we got the 48hrs and it includes the water ferry that goes nearby the Statue of Liberty. I have done all the tours with them, staff were knowledgeable in a very interesting way that they made it a real fun.
I really had fun riding the hop on hop off downtown bus. The tour guide, Arnie, was very knowledgeable and even took my picture with the Flatiron building. Awesome experience!
Great service. Hop o go off tour of the city with guide on the bus. Great time!
I travelled on Megabus from Washington DC to NYC on Friday Sep 22 on 9 am bus. The Megabus service did not run on time. The bus window panes were not clean except for the driver's windshield. The WiFi was not functioning. When complained to the driver, she rudely replied that she can only hear the complaint and will let the Management know. She cannot do anything about it.
As the bus was passing through Lincoln Tunnel, the bus took a jerk and it felt that the back portion touched the top of the tunnel.
The bus stopped at Maryland for change of driver. As per policy no passenger was allowed to disembark for resting etc. It is recommended that it may be considered for allowing disembarking passengers for short while to straighten their legs etc.
Great routes for hop on/hop off, took us to 90% of the sights we had wanted to see.
Tour guides are humorous and very knowledgeable and very open to questions you may have.
If we ever find ourselves back in New York again, I'll most definitely take one of the other Gray Line routes around the city that we hadn't seen yet
The folks at Grayline are awesome. But the hop on hop off waiting is a problem if short on time. Manny the tour operator is fantastic. I AM editing after being on this tour of 9am to 5pm. Some stops highly disorganized mess of wandering lines. The customer service agent on bus very helpful. The last tour operator was insulting foreign guest for asking how do you get back to starting point. He was confronted by other guest and went away mumbling. A lot of walking involved but 99 percent of the employees tried to help.
The first guide we got for our downtown day trip wasn't very good, but the night tour guide was PHENOMENAL! Great tour to see all of the sites - I like to ride the tours through once, especially if you have a good guide, and then decide the next time through where to get off at (if you have the time, of course).
Entertaining, I went on most of the loops but best one is the downtown route. I caught the subway last time I was here in Nyc though more efficient not as entertaining. The staff are hit and miss but I guess it is all about the ride not the staff and that was great.
Very cool experience. I would recommend the full loop tour hop on.hop off shows you all the major sites along with great stories and interesting facts
Very good service.. went to all interesting spots and guides were very informative not just scripted tours very interesting.
Probably a good option only if don't want to walk (in NY you'll have to any way) the tours they sell help you save some money but a better option is to buy the NY pass or similar and use the Metro to move across the City, and please NEVER BUY THE VIP UPGRADE, is a waste of the precious money you will need for so many other things in NY.
The personal in the front desk in their offices are kind but once you pay all other colleagues of them are so rude, they have a total lack of costumer service spirit, they don't care about you or what you need or are asked them, in my case I was looking for the pier to take the tour to Statue of Liberty and asked them for help and sent me to pier 11 when the boat was on Battery Park so I was forced to walk two time the same way because of their lack of care about costumers, I highly recommend you to enjoy the city by yourself instead of pay them for their awful work.
My mom and I went on an 8 hour tour of NYC with Laurel & Robert (driver). Robert was our driver and Laurel was our amazing tour guide. The entire experience was exceptional!!
I highly recommend the 4hr, 6hr, or 8hr tour WITH Laurelshe KNOWS New Yorkthe energy was positive and pace was good. It was very cold outside because Winterbut we still had a great time seeing most of all the city highlightsdidnt want to leave the sprinter van with Robert & Laurel. A big thank you to both of them! ☺
