Very nice place for fruits and vegetable. Good line up of coffee and food stops. Renovations are making this place much better. The new indoor space is beautiful and filled with cool new vendors. The fresh made juices are very nice.

Love the new public market variety of different vendor live the oriental menu love the the Cooke shop the cheese stand the fruit vendor the people the roast beef sandwich there so many different type of food. Love the festivals they offer all year long. Live the food cart rodeos. There so many more to talk abiut . Safe environment. Family friendly

Big improvements and a great place for many things. People call from all over to experience the market. Great prices. Excellent experience for people watching too. Parking can get tight during peak hours.

I always love going to the public market. It is so great to be able to go and get fresh fruits and vegetables but there's always artisans and other local entrepreneurs there too! It's always clean and their new shed facility is beautiful. There's events happening down their constantly. If you go on Saturday Morning or during the food truck rodeo parking can be a little bit of a hassle so you will want to make sure to arrive early. During the food truck rodeo they have had trollies in the past to take you back to your car however.

A solid Rochester stable. Amazing for grocery shopping, both cheap and good quality. Note that most of the vendors are resellers but there are many farmers and producers that are local and/or organic. Make sure to ask! Small World Food, Bolton Farms, and Fisher Hill Farms are excellent.
The market is also great for prepared food and people watching! Lots of buskers on a Saturday and and a guarantee that you'll run into your favorite Rochesterians on a nice day.

I absolutely love going to the market on Saturday mornings. You never know what you may see or find. They have a vast variety of fruits and vegetables as well as odds and ends. You can plan a whole morning there and purchase meals at the surrounding businesses as well. I love that they have the ebt exchange option so that everyone can shop for fresh food.

The Rochester Public Market is an outstanding landmark and resource. It houses fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables from local farms, baked goods, meats, pirogi, honey, fair trade coffee, etc. There are also a number of fantastic cafes and restaurant near by, and the Giordano European Cheese Shop. New buildings have been constructed recently, accommodating more vendor space and some protection from the elements.

I would advise arriving early on Saturday (7-8am) to find a decent parking space. Soon after that it becomes extremely packed. Can't recommend this place enough.

So, it's a public market. What do you expect from here? Stuffs lots of stuffs which is cheap, good quality and direct from the farm( I do hope that's the case.) the same stuff you can buy from Wegmans in a fancy packet. Great food options, and a variety you choose from.

Going to The Rochester Public Market is like going to an old market in Europe, with the salesmen barking, and people bargaining! However it maintains the feel of Rochester with cherries on the cheap in summer, and apples aplenty in fall, modern accommodations without losing the olden feel. They have actually competitive prices that are the lowest you'll see because they are the ones that grow what they sell, no middlemen, no brand names, just cash or card and a hand shake deal is all it takes to get the freshest food in Rochester. Come on Saturday morning to really get the feel and the best selection, but come early (8am) and beat the rush!

Some really great places but also really crummy ones. And just super crowded and dirty. Can't really go anymore now that we have kids because there's just no way to negotiate a stroller. Plus lousy parking. This place has so much potential but falls waaaay short

Thanks to indoor and outdoor space, even during harsh Rochester Winters and Springs, there's plenty of local vendors to choose from - with even more variety in Summer and Autumn. Lots of local (and some not-so-local) fruits, veggies, the normal produce market but also incense, meat, coffee, juice, baked goods, spices, clothing, and I've even seen free books. Local musicians usually hang around near the little shack restaurants and parking space. Most everything is reasonably priced, too.

The public market is the best place on earth. They are open 3 days a week, though Saturday is by far the best day to go. You can get almost all of your food needs met there, and for cheaper than Wegmans. The public market is truly the place that the whole city comes together, and the diversity represented there is beautiful

The produce on the market days is great. Fruits here are much cheaper than anywhere else. It's get very crowded during the day. I recommend to come early to avoid the crowds.
