Went Sunday afternoon. More out of nostalgia. Haven't been in a decade. Just a shell of what it once was. Food was edible but basic. Sweet fries were undercooked and soggy. Service was slow and typical CT unfriendly. I should have considered the recent reviews. Not worth the money spent.
I love City Limits Diner I'm staying at the La Quinta upstairs from the diner for a few weeks now I've been eating breakfast lunch and dinner here fantastic I have a couple of new favorite dishes now that I absolutely love
Not the best place for breakfast. Overpriced for what they serve. Service is not professional. Hash browns had no flavor. Coffee was not refilled. Decent bar and bakery. Restaurant was clean.
Breakfast was ten times better than we had any right to expect. Great old school diner feel but the menu was nothing but "diner" greasy spoon. We had the golden raisin and currant callah French toast and house special Atlantic smoked salmon and mushroom potatoe pancake. The only want I walked away with was a container of the homemade jam to take home! Such a lovely surprise on a quick overnight stop in CT. I'll route my road trip this way from now on!
All bets are off. I was just informed that this location will be under new management come the New Year. The insider skinny is that most of the staff will be retained. Wait and see about the menu.
Smaller menu but great food. I love coming here on weekends for breakfast. Staff is super friendly.
