Service was not up to standard. Ordered take-out pizza and was told it would be ready in 30-35 minutes. Actual time was 65 minutes.
Quality also not up to standard. One of our pizzas had a totally burnt (black) bottom crust. It was a busy night and I can understand the extra time but not for a burnt pizza.response / report this review -

The food is brilliant and the service is delightful. We have eaten there numerous times and never had any issue. It has become our go to Italian restaurant!

Came back wanting to try this place again. By far the worst Italian food I have ever had. I read other reviews stating great for the area but this summation just means that these people are comparing frozen food from Harris teeter! I call it quits and recommend telling the Mexican chef to visIt Italy before trying to cook an Italian meal! Not the same! Good luck and prey after the meal that you will not get sick!

One of our favorite restaurants in VA. Ciro's has a back room that is wood paneled and feels like a fine dining restaurant and out front they offer a more casual setting. The food options are the same in both areas and we have not had better Italian in the states. I crave the lasagna it is THAT good. It is a family owned restaurant and they treat you like family when you are there.

Best food in Stone ridge or South riding. Best pizza around. I am not sure about the few bad reviews, the place is always great pasta or pizza.

This family-owned and operated, neighborhood Italian bistro is probably my favorite little place to go when I have family in town and want to impress. Prices are reasonable, the family is awesome and they are there, and I adore their NY style pizza. Literally, I have considered genuflecting. You have nothing to lose by giving this place a go. The first time I went in, I said "I've heard you have the best pizza in Loudoun County. Is that true?" The hostess' response to me was a quick-witted, " I couldn't say for sure if it's the best, but it's definitely made with the most love." Been a regular since.

Food was good, was diappointed for the price should have got a salad with the dinner, but it was extra. Almost $19.00 for lasagna and that was it. About 3" square size. Oh, they did bring out some bread, and they asked us if we wanted more ,we said yes but never brought it.

Called in a take-out order over the phone. Man who answered was either rude, distracted, or in a hurry, but whatever it was, he certainly wasn't being friendly. When I picked up the order, I left a disproportionately high tip (because I have a rule that I always overtip for bad service, following the maxim of "kill 'em with kindness" ), and upon seeing it, he changed his demeanor and switched into "friendly mode." Because of my younger age, I sometimes have issues with not being given respect or good customer service because of the stereotypes associated with people my age. This experience seemed to be yet another example of that kind of inequitable treatment towards younger customers. But because he was friendly towards the end, had good food with generous portions, and technically never crossed the line with anything he said (and was technically professional, albeit unenthusiastic and not outwardly friendly until the end), I feel that it's only fair to dock a point. The food lived up to its reputation, and that's arguably what's most important -- although good service is a close second.
I'll probably be reluctant to come back since I place a high value on customer service -- particularly w.r.t. treatment of younger customers vs treatment of older/more-affluent ones. It's my way of "voting with my pocketbook." But I do recommend the restaurant to people not bothered by the above. Additionally, it's entirely possible that the man in question was simply having a bad day and that this was merely a one-off. So I'm certainly open to potentially giving them a second change at some point.response / report this review -

Our first time here and they exceeded our expectations. Friendly, Attentive and unobtrusive service. Tender Calamari Appetizer. The Tutto Mare was Excellent !
