Great pizza! Thin crust, good toppings. I had a fresh pie but the individual slices in the case looked pretty good and there was a lot of variety. Nice laid back vibe, some pool tables, and pretty good beer selection.

Best NY style pizza in San Diego. Thin crust delicious pizza. They have slices were the crust is garlic knots, I get it for the 8 year old and he loves it. If they don’t have the toppings you want, ask them to put it on a slice of cheese pizza! They’ll do it!

Love this place!! Great pizza!! Love the chewy thin crust, it’s what makes the pizza. They have a very funky and fun vibe inside and very nice people who work there.

This place offers some of the best of what I call, West Coast style pizza. Large, thin slices with all kinds of wonderful toppings. They serve everything from the basics, pepperoni & cheese, to wild styles like 4 kind of meat with ricotta cheese. They also have superb garlic knots. A great place to grab a few slices, a few beers and hang with some friends. Bring actual bills though, they are cash only.

I heard of Pizzeria Luigi two years before I moved to San Diego via Guy Fieri on the Food Network. Apparently it's his favourite Pizza.
It happened that my first apartment in San Diego was one block from the original location at 25th and B. I ate there the first night, had what has come to be known as the Spicy Kevin. Best Pizza I ever had.
I ate there four times a week for at least a month. I still have Pizzeria Luigi at least monthly, if not more often. I still think it's the best pizza on Earth.response / report this review -

Something of an East Coast pizza snoband many pizza joints in San Diego are a let down, but not Luigi's. They make some excellent pizza and have very good combo of toppings. One if the few pizza places that I make it a point to return to. Only slightly iffy thing is that they only take cash, but they have an ATM there if you forget.

Very nice pizza and even pasta at a fair price. The overall feeling when you walk though that door is that you came to a cool place to hangout and grab a slice or 2. Good food at a fair price and a cool vibe.

Great for a quick bite if you grab their pizza by the slice. Decent flavors and toppings. Probably would have been better if we had time to order a fresh pizza.

The pizza is delicious and the price is right! The service could go a little quicker on busy nights but usually this is not an issue. It's on my list of regular hangout spots.

Absolutely love this place. You haven't had the best pizza in San Diego till you visited this place. Real authentic New York style thin crust pizza. Plenty of local craft beer on tap too.

Very yummy, came in from Boise Idaho hungry! Stopped in and had a Mona Lisa pizza! Awesome tasting and Loved the crust. Great job.
