Best Chinese Buffet in Oakland and the surrounding area. Went here all the time over the past 10 years. Every time it has been exactly the same. No change in quality, very consistent. Highly recommended for a quick, cheap, filling meal.

One of my favorite chinese buffets. They are super vegetarian friendly. Not a huge selection, but nice and cheap

Amazing all you can eat American Chinese buffet in the heart of Oakland. The owner is so pleasant. $8.50 includes a standard buffet plus drink. Sit down options are more "authentic" Mandarin and Cantonese fare.

I can always count on Golden Palace for the perfect Chinese buffet! Have been going here since my college days and it's always been great! The woman who runs it is pleasant and friendly! They have a rotating weekly menu for the buffet, an also offer authentic Cantonese and Mandarin options for sit down/takeout. Price also includes drinks too. Great deal!

$8.50 for the buffet (i think it’s cheaper if you’re a Pitt student). If you go in with low expectations you'll enjoy it. It's a good place for college students to pig out of greasy Chinese food. There's a pretty limited selection for a buffet, so if you're looking for something specific this might not be the place for you.

I think there were just two people running the whole place. One was cooking, the other was running the register, seating people and bussing tables after people left. I actually see this as a good thing, sometimes it annoying being interrupted every few minutes by the waiter asking if you need anything, or refilling a drink. I thought it was nice that they just leave everyone alone.

This was my first time there, but it sort of had a coffee shop feel in the sense that there were several people sitting alone studying. It was also very quiet compared to other restaurants.

I like this place. It's not exactly what you think of when you think about a buffet- there isn't really any desert or anything like that. But for the price of a dinner combo, you can select from pretty much all your standard greasy Chinese options. And every dish I've had here has been pretty good! I haven't had anything yet that I thought was bad. Occasionally on a lucky day there's Crab Rangoon, which I usually spend an extra $5 on top of my meal for. And I think the lady at the register is pretty nice.
