Not the cheapest place but great service and food. One of the best in Wichita for high end restaurants.
I really can't say enough about this excellent establishment, every time we go we are seated immediately and served our drinks and appetizers lightening fast. It feels like you have your own team of waiters only focused on your needs. The food is excellent always perfectly cooked, and the sides are spectacular. Not just your standards sides either, the crab mac and cheese or Yukon potatoes with bacon cream sauce are particularly wonderful. It is a pricey place but you know that before you go and I've never felt like it was too much for the standard of food and service you receive.
Great food and service. Bit noisy and on the expensive side. But if you're in the mood for steak this is the place to be.
Fantastic food! Steaks are perfectly cooked to the correct temperature. I have never had a dish I didn't like.
Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and good food. I recommend ordering the poutine, it was excellent and the calamari was delicious. Get the tumbleweed shake if you like a milkshake with an adult kick on it. I would recommend for a high end date night or taking clients out. I will be back for more of this amazing steak house.
More than disappointed with our meal, had a business meeting tried to impress everyone and took them to Chophouse, haven't been in a long time. Out of a party of 10 Not one person thought their meal was great, 2 thought it was good, one was okay and the rest didn't finish their meal, two people had the bottom of their meat burnt.. Everyone was intimidated to complain in such a fancy place, so they just smiled, finished our meeting and then the comments came outside
I have been here a few times and now i am done revisiting. The food is good, but for the price i can name countless other places i would rather go. Personally when i spend 100$ i would like to leave feeling satisfied and i am not.
Overseasoned prime steak on round one. Brought a rare, but at least salt and pepper only prime steak round two, but we're very condescending. Flavor was great (it was prime) but I took most of it home to recook, rather than risk a third round of errors. Finally, waited over fifteen minutes on three separate occasions to get anyone to help us after we were ready to order, ready to return the first steak, and ready to get dessert. We flagged the poor bus boy down all three times to go get our waiter - he was VERY kind. Finally, we threw in the towel, skipped desert, and went home to pay the babysitter.
One of the top 2 restaurants in Wichita, other is Newport grill which specializes in seafood and great wines. Chesters has outstanding service and excellent food. Specializing in steaks and creative specials. King Edward Island muscles are really good. Great catering too.
An absolutely wonderful dinner from start to finish. Started with the sheared tuna for an appetizer and then got a variety of salads. I loved the mozzarella & tomato salad. It was an Italian explosion of flavor. The house salads we're good as well. Lastly, the steaks were some of the best I've had. My family enjoyed all of their steaks as well. Such a great experience and good service too. Will be back!! I recommend a old fashion for a starting cocktail and an aviator for dessert.
Before we travel my husband researches for the best restaurants. Special spots we look forward to going to and enjoying a special evening. Staying in Wichita, he found Newport Grill and we were anticipating a great dinner, great service and a wonderful evening..yea.not so much.
I had dinner last night with old friends. The service int he bar was excellent as I waited for the rest of my party to arrive. We were promptly seated and attended to. The waiter provided the nights specials and took our order. From this point on the rest of the service was mediocre at best. I think the quality of the food was very good but the service was poor. Our food was not hot when received and follow up non-existent. I was also upset when I asked for some butter for the 3 sides that were ordered and some type of whipped margarine was provided. When having a 300 + dollar meal the expectation is to receive real products. I will think twice about returning which is sad because it could easily have been an excellent experience.
Everything was 5 star! The service was great. And of course the food was Amazing!
Never going back.. first off the staff takes your food off the table without asking if you are finished. I was talking to family members and looked down and plate was gone and I wasn't finished! My husband slipped and knocked over our shrimp appetizer all over himself and yes, I understand it was our fault, but thought out of courtesy they would bring us a new one without charging us. They didn't- we got charged for a new one. Come on, our bill was over $500! Then we get home and realize we were charged for the same side 3 times and only asked for 1. It was our first time there and there were 7 of us so we just thought they split the order into 3 small portions. I called to see if they would correct the mistake I can't even describe how rude the manager is. Truly, I can't! He should be fired!!! He has 0 customer service skills and is the main reason our family will never go back. Don't waste your money- it's decent food but if they mess up on your bill you better be prepared to eat the mistake or get blamed for trying to rip off the company.. after all "I'm just calling to try and get items taken off my ticket so I don't have to pay for them" He said more but I'll stop there
Not very impressed. I would have figured for the prices they are charging they would have a better cut of a steak and cook it properly. Lets get this straight. If your a high priced chophouse then you had better have prime rating. Additionally, I would expect to be provided a well groomed and tasty steak. Not so it was average. Texas Road House has a much better steak. You are strictly paying for the atmosphere at this place. If your not very well dressed then expect your waitress to not to be coming by your table as much shes looking for the higher tipper. NOTE to staff not everyone who has money comes to eat in a suit.
