Beautiful drive. Was in area only a few hours. But would like to return on the future when we can stay longer. Excellent visitors center. Lady was very helpful. Nearby town was very quaint and inviting.
Be sure to stop before hitting the Cherola, good info and a free museum that's pretty cool!
Location is clean w/interesting gifts. Store behind it has lower pricing for similar items.
This was our view from the parking lot. It was a chilly and foggy day when we visited. The visitor center has a nice little dandy stove to warm you up inside!
Beautiful place and they did a very good job at organizing a safe and fun eclipse event. I am confident they could handle other large events as well!
Great Place, Great people, Definitely a place to stop by in on your journey through the mountains. I went during the solar eclipse on 8-21-17, and they were well prepared for the event with a great open field and places to park.
Clean and tidy. Four picnic tables.
Friendly folks and lots of souvenirs to choose from to remember the trip.. beautiful views, beautiful countryside to take in
We had a great visit here. They have some really cool souvenirs and the woman working last Saturday was a font of knowledge! She recommended some great stops on the Skyway and made sure we had all of the maps we needed! What a great way to learn about the area from a resident.
I walked into the visitor center this morning, a lady was sitting at the desk. I used the restroom, came back out into the center and looked around. The whole time that I was there no one even acknowledged that I was there much less look at me. I got a couple of pamphlets and left. No hello, goodbye, can I help you, go away no nothing. A group of us will be traveling the Cherohala Skyway to Robbinsville, NC in June, but I see no reason to stop in Tellico.
Cool museum, a lot of old telephones as well as other pieces of Americana. Worth a visit. There's also a good selection of local ride t-shirts for the Skyway, Dragon, etc.
