Where do I begin. The food is incredibly awesome. A group of is went and ordered family style (a larger portion). You can taste the meat or fish and their toppings do not over take the food. We will b taking people there for their Christmas gift. I can't wait to go back!!! If you want to order the duck you should call ahead bcuz it takes 45 minutes to cook!! Enjoy
Very satisfied with the food, big portion at cheap price. I should have tried this place sooner. Their lunch menu offers wide choices at low price. One concern I have is the lack of toothpicks on the table. But I would not hesitate coming back here.
The food here is fantastic. Great little Chinese restaurant. Great for any size group - small or large. Recommend ordering several dishes and sharing. Noodles are especially great.
Was very surprised when they wrapped their peeking duck in tortilla rolls and not the regular peeking duck buns. Went in with a group of roughly 16 people and they handled the group very well. Food was not bad but definitely not up to part with some other Asian restaurants in Chicago. For the area it's probably good enough.
The wait staff is very friendly. It does have quite the crowd during the lunch rush due to their lunch special which is a smaller menu with a better price so expect a wait if you planning on going on The weekday lunch. Also a wait for dinner on the weekends place is very popular. The special chef pings chicken is delicious. The fried egg plant and salt and pepper smelt fish very good. Black bean noodles was a nice balance to the salty fish. The prices are a little bit higher but you did get large portions.
Its really good Chinese food. Fancy but still semi casual. Awesome portions and variety.
The seating and atmosphere is nice. Attentive and quick service. The food is good as well, but nothing extraordinary. My Seafood Thai Noodles were ok, but a little on the oily side. And I would have preferred more vegetables/seafood to noodles. The fortune cookies were on point for all four of us though, so there's that!
The people were very nice and that's what the stars are for. The food on the other handnope. except the spring rolls, they were good. I got the Mandarin tofu that tasted like it was made with turkey gravy. It wasn't sweet like I thought it was going to be. Overall the food was bland, fresh but bland. And pricy. Picture is of tofu.
This place really is the best in Rolling Meadows! Their food is fantastic! If your looking for great food at a great price though this probably is not the place. It is very expensive! Great food, not a great price.
Great food and service. The food came out very fast. We took our two small children with us and the liked the food. Be aware that it gets very busy so we went when they opened for lunch on a Saturday. Also there is a great ice scream place next door. Will go back again.
My wife and I have been going to Chef Ping every two to three weeks for years and continue to go for the friendly staff, the excellent food and the good service.
We always requested the same waitress and she took care of us for years until she moved back to Indonesia to be with her family. She is surely missed!
We now always request another waitress that also provides great service every time we dine. We have introduced and brought friends and relatives for the overall experience. Never a disappointment.
I repeat, the staff is very friendly, the food is excellent and the service is good.
Wow! This place is awesome. If you want delicious Chinese at very reasonable prices, you have to come here. I had a Mongolian beef for lunch that was fabulous. There was lots to eat for the money without sacrificing quality.
It's the best Chinese food in the area. The restaurant is nice, clean, tastefully decorated. Definitely a place you could go out on a date. Be aware that even though it gets pretty busy and the wait times are high most nights it's mostly worth it. I've been coming here for a few years now but recently I've noticed that the food doesn't seem to have the same quality it used to and the service is also starting to slouch. Hence the 4/5 stars.
