Ate here 36 years ago with my friend and his father. About 10 times. The fried cheese sticks were the best I've ever had to this day.
Not sure if it is still on menu. The burgers were delicious.
Good to know it is still there. I will have to go soon. RIP Robert Michel.
Good atmosphere for a casual night out with the wife or to watch a game at the bar. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is good but sometimes can be lacking in flavor but still not that bad.
While trying to decide where to eat our last meal in DC, we decided to visit old town Alexandria. We read some reviews and chose Chadwicks as our dining destination. The fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and slaw hit the spot. I am so glad that we chose this place. Our waitress, Lydia, was a delight, as was, the wonderful atmosphere. I don’t think that there is anything that could’ve made our evening more pleasant. Thanks Chadwicks for a wonderful last night of our vacation.
Had dinner with a friend here last night and had a wonderful experience. The only issue that I would say for people who might want to come here is the lack of outside seating. There are maybe a dozen chairs and it is a very small area in front of the establishment (not conducive to large groups or two people who what to enjoy the nice weather in private conversation. Otherwise, excellent service and staff, Patricia was really helpful and the food was delicious (I had the Po' Boy sandwich with the spinach). Definitely a great venue in Alexandria !
Pretty casual place. Food was pretty good. The steak I ordered was cooked well and the server was great about keeping our glasses full
I hadn't been to Chadwicks in 3 or 4 years. I met my cousins today for brunch and don't think I could have been happier.
Emma was our server. If I didn't actually see her serving other tables I would have thought that we were only table. She was awesome.
We ordered from the Brunch menu and we were all very happy with our food.
It was cool. Nice atmosphere and the food was good. We had a huge party but the service wasn't bad. I'd go again.
Wonderful brunch Sunday morning. I had pork belly with fried green tomatoes on top an egg over medium with melted pimento cheese on top and homemade fries it was damn good.
This is a top notch restaurant and Alexandria folk should nurture the amazing cooking of the chef and the attentiveness of the staff. We had a marvellous five course tasting menu with selected wine to accompany the food. Wonderful, simply wonderful. Worth travelling from the UK for!
Beer is good and the staff is super nice. I haven't tried their food, but other than that they have plenty of space and TVs for sports games so there's not much more I would ask for.
I had the monk fish in a bean stew that was delicious. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. Not too many diners on a Tuesday night. I'd eat here again.
Had brunch, pretty good. Not blown away or anything but still happy with the choice. Pretty decent coffee as well.
Have been twice with my girlfriend, have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Seating was comfortable, service was good, and Steak was medium exactly like I asked. The crab cakes are also delicious.
