Generally nice. People tend to hype this place up like it's the greatest place ever. Personally I don't really think so. I think people think because their prices are crazy high that it means it's got to be great. In my opinion, most of their dishes, especially their pastas are weird and gross me out with the ingredients. Their Saturday night Prime Rib Special is good, but again, pricy! And their dinner rolls are the same ones you can buy frozen at Costco and throw in the oven for about 13 minutes! While I do believe it's likely the nicest place in Hartwell, GA, I prefer to go Anderson, SC.

I have been eating at Cateechee for over 10 years. I have seen the quality slip over the years. Since the new owners took over in March 2017, the place has transformed. The new chef is amazing. The staff is better trained and very attentive. The food is spectacular. It's the best restaurant within 60 miles. Worth trying for sure. Give it another chance if you have had a bad experience before.

Very overrated. Pretentious place that believes it's classy but unfortunately it is not. Very expensive for average food and slow service.

The staff is really rude. If you are in a group and need to split the bill don't go. Good food but I won't go here again. One of the ladies had a really bad attitude with us and ruined our appetite.
