Location is really close to town. Reasonable prices. Monthly rental also. Not an upscale place. I wouldn't stay there unless i absolutely had to.

It's a great place to stay. It's clean and the staff is the most sweetest people I have ever met. Highly recommend this place if you need a place to call home or just for a night or two

I would give this roach infested place a negative 5 stars if allowed. This place is the worst place i have stayed in my 20 plus years of travel across the country. Hot water didn't work ,sink leaked all over , the dresser or what was left of it was broken down , the lady was the rudest most hateful person I have ever met . There was cockroachs in the bed and walls , along with other nasty things I cant understand why this place is still open they quote a price on phone when you get there it's more they don't even open the front desk until 11am I cant stress enough save your money sleep in your car it would be safer and cleaner even if you drove a trash truck.

The staff was only slightly helpful, the rooms were very tiny, the parking lot was clean and clear of debris tho, so there's a plus.

Could definately be cleaner, one ice maker in the whole place and its inoperable. Better than outside if your low on cash but it most assurantley needs maintenance and general every day upkeep.

Upkeep is minimal. Good people work there and the owner is nice, but a lot of things are broken or missing. No chain on door, no smoke alarms in some rooms, no water in one of two sinks. Worn carpets and bedding. But quiet and surprisingly comfortable.

We have found our stay here to be very pleasant. The rooms are nice and clean and the management is very nice and friendly, with prices that are not hard on ones budget. I would recommend The Skyland as a place to stay to anyone who visists the area. Its a nice, quiet, clean place to stay when you are on vacation or just in town for awhile.

We came out of state to see some friends. So we got a room at the Skyland motel. The 1st room we got was room 7. We didn't go check the room b4 leaving to go visit a few places juwhile there. Because the cleaning lady hadn't gotten to that room. When we got back and went in room 7 the room wasn't clean and the bathroom was nasty with the drain from the tub didn't have no pipes. It was a hole and u could see the ground. We went to front office and ask for our money back and the kind lady said she didn't know how to refund the money back to our card. So she gave us room 1. Which was fine. The next morning around 10:30 my boyfriend had just got out the shower and TRYING to get dressed when the door opened and the maid came in and stated we wasn't suppose to be in that room and it was after 11 so we had to get out. Now like I said it was 10:30 @ that time. So I went to the office and the lady and man started raising their voices at me. Saying that room is for special people. (Where I come from ur guest or special people). The lady behinde the desk (kathy) told me that the price for that room was a different price and we owed her 62 $. Later a few minutes of having to raise my voice back to them we got our stuff and got out the room. The maid didn't have to clean the room cause I had already cleaned it b4 all this went on. All she had to do was put clean sheets and sanitize & deodorize the bathroom and Go Lightly over the floors which she never did because we set up another room and watched what this made it our stay at that hotel motel will never be again my rating for them is zero it is nasty a bunch of Alcoholics are there and drugs or they're even there made was screaming because of her being on drugs and alcohol all night up until that morning. Then the man behind the counter says that he will get with another person that was staying there about the difference that the rooms cost. My question is "what does anyone else have to do with it. They wasn't staying in our room or paying for it and we r sure not kids. Bottom line is we felt like if we stayed in room 7 then we was taken a chance of snakes or rodents coming up in the hole. I would have never stayed in something like that or paid for a room like that and the owners got very mad about us being put in another room.

It is 90 degrees in my room. Too hot to sleep. I've complain ed 3 times and not once did a service man come by or anything. It would be cooler to sleep in my car but the lights r too bright.
