  My children take swimming lessons at Catch the Wave. We go every Saturday. My girls LOVE the instructors and they LOVE the warm water pool. It is kept at 90 degrees, so there are no shivers and lots of swimming going on.
  
  Catch the Wave is a family owned and run swimming facility located in South Beloit, IL. This family philosophy is reflected daily as they make a point of knowing all of the children and their families and welcome each family when they enter the facility and wish them a good day upon exiting.
  
  My girls were excited that the staff knew their names AND pronounced them correctly which is a big deal to the girls. My experience at Catch the Wave has been fabulous.
  
  It is the first place my kids have felt comfortable in the water and taking lessons. The instructors work to make sure their swimming instruction works for the child, rather than "forcing" the child to "fit" into some packaged program. The instructors also take the time to explain their methods to parents and update them on their child's progress as often as needed.
  
  One of my daughters has special needs and this is the first place I have found that has the expertise, patience, and compassion to work with her in the water. I have since learned that they have developed quite a swimming program for children with a wide range of disabilities.
  
  The facility is very family friendly. You can sit in the viewing room and watch your kids swim or you can go up into the lobby and watch your kids swim on the flat screen TV that is set up. There is also free WiFi! In addition, there is a small playroom for very young children to play in while older siblings swim.
  
  Debbie and Kelli make sure that your visit is pleasant and if you have any problems they can solve them so that everyone is happy. Their customer service is 2nd to none! I highly recommend Catch the Wave for swimming lessons. They are awesome!!

  Also my child has learning disabilities and they have the tools to work with her.

  Kids love their instructors! Small class sizes and the kids get the attention they need. They've progressed exponentially after just a few lessons!

  The worst ran business I have ever encounter. We have had direct withdrawal billing errors for 8 months straight!! They take no fault for their errors, and are unaccommodating to correct them. It is unfortunate it did not work out, but we gave them numerous chances. As far as the lessons go, teacher are very nice, but the business has gotten to be more then they can handle(due the groupon). They do not have enough teachers, space or parking to accommodate the growing business. The classes are supposed to be small teacher to child ratio and have been at least double the said number. Due to that the children only get 1-2 turns in their 30min lesson, otherwise they just end up sitting on the step playing in the water like its bath time. we pay $59 a month to have them sit on a step for 25min of the lesson. A huge waist of money if you ask me.

  Good clean facilities, warm water, and an excellent learn-to-swim program. I was shocked at how quickly my 4 year old went from haphazardly doggie paddling to learning water safety skills and using greatly improved technique. They do an excellent job of teaching water competency to even itty bitty kids. The salt water is great too, since chlorine can be such an irritant.
