Amazing sushi!!! This is hands down the freshest, and tastiest sushi on the Rockford, or surrounding area. Especially for the price. The more expensive rolls are larger as well. This is my favorite sushi place!!

Expensive, but worth it for the sushi. Sushi is great, but they non-sushi menu is very lacking. Their sushi selection is vast and includes hot (as in cooked) rolls and they even offer non-seaweed wraps for those that don't like the texture

I was at a friend's house when her family ordered for delivery a while ago. The total ended up being 60+ dollars which would have been fine if the food wasn't delivered cold, in small amounts and soggy. Everything had to be microwaved. Just looking at it made me feel like I was going to get food poisoning and I couldn't even eat it. The meals were in very small portions in plastic trays and soggy. The only thing given in the average right amount was rice boxes. 60+ dollars was spent but really only 11$ worth was delivered properly. Rip off. I do not suggest ordering delivery from here.

Fresh sushi.
Stopped in for a quick bite. Nice that you can self-mark your order.
But USUALLY an order of sushi is 2 pieces “usually”.

The slice of mackerel was soooo slim, thin, and sleek- fresh yes- but barely could taste the tiny piece.
The eel was warm and perfect in flavor. Apparently there is a HUGE shortage on ginger and wasabi .

My bill for was 1 piece of each. $6.50+tip =left $8.00 (since waitress was sitting down at the table behind me/with her boyfriend /husband and child) or she was standing at sushi bar with back to me while i was waiting to place my order.

Somehow i think ALL the previous praise has gone to this restaurant’s head.

Come back to reality and then i, and others - may return. (PLACE WAS EMPTY! At 1pm lunch time!! Says a lot

I like the rolls here and have tried 80% of them. The decor is just OK, functional nothing more. Not a place to go for ambiance. I do think it might be the best bang for the buck in the way of sushi I’ve ever had. And usually cheap and sushi are not desired in the same sentence. Not that this place is cheap but very cost effective for the quality of the rolls. The rest of the food I’ve tried is probably a 7 out of 10. Plenty of parking and easy access.

Excellent Sushi!! The staff was very kind to my son(15 yrs./Autistic) as well as very helpful as this was his first time visiting a restaurant, choosing items, ordering, paying, tipping ect. while completely by himself. I'm sure the cashier was surprised, yet pleased to receive a 55% tip on a $8.50 order. None the less they will forever have our business for their great food as well as graciously helping our son navigate unfamiliar territory! Thank you Spider Sushi Bar, 2 thumbs up!!!!

It's just ok. Not fairly remarkable but not terrible either. No lasting impression. If you want sushi, it's fine. Prices are about average for the area.

Usually when we come here, the food was cheap, plentiful, and delicious. Then they went on a break over the fourth of July. We ate here today and the spider roll was chewy and green, the beef was cold, and the fish in our sashimi was rancid and sour. I do hope they go back to their old style and someone tells us of how good this place went back to. We're not coming back.

Amazing sushi! The Vegas Roll is my personal favorite. They have a good amount of options without being overwhelming. My fiance and I get take out here all the time. Usually the wait is about 20 minutes, perfect to order over the phone and arrive just in time to pick it up!

So the sushi here was pretty good. The service could have been better as they forgot to give use utensils to eat our food with. Than they forgot to give me a dipping tray for my soy sauce.

If there sushi and other foods weren't so good, id give them a lower star review.

Love this place but just called to make an order and was told that they couldn't take my order for pickup because the chef was so far behind they wouldn't even be able to start it until at least 40 minutes. Then hung up on. I was still willing to order. Regardless what kind of response it that to making a phone order, I've never heard of such a thing. :/

By far my favorite place to eat. Every single thing is perfect every time. The food, service, getting in and out, just anything and everything you could hope for. I mean really, I bet this place could make a bowl of dry wall taste good. Time and money well spent.
