Tasty food, friendly staff, and lively crowd! If you are looking for a quiet spot, do not come here. The customers here are very cheery and happy, so are the staff member.

Has the look of an old time Mexican hacienda. Very attractive. Dishes are filling but somewhat on the high price side. As is often the case with Mexican restaurant food, a rather heavy hand is used with salt. Service is usually very attentive even though it can get quite busy during the evenings. Boasts probably one of the best Happy Hours in Old Town. Decent margaritas for under $5 and a free and quite filling food buffet. Even though it's located in a touristy neighborhood, Casa Guadalajara attracts a sizeable local clientele. Always a good sign.

Always great food and a festive atmosphere. Very busy so expect to wait. And parking is limited. But the food is delicious. And I love the decor. I love the shrimp, chicken and beef fajitas. And the mango margarita.

Probably best to go with the enchiladas. The fish taco is a good size but the enchiladas were better. The breading tasted pretty good! Lots of good menu items. There's a plate with lots of bite sized size enchiladas with red sauce tasted pretty good not pictured. The menu is a little long if you ask me. You'll be safe with going with their day special.

We were in Old Town and we were looking for lunch. We read about it in a book in our hotel. The place was bright and cheerful. The noise level was good: you didn’t have to strain to hear each other. Our waitress was pleasant and prompt. I’m not sure how much tequila was in the Margarita though. The food was tasty and the portions were big. A very nice experience.

Tasty place in oldtown. Happy hour is from 4-7 with $5 margaritas and free snacks. Great place to go before or after your flight. Five minutes from airport. It is also with in walking distance from Amtrak

Amazing and HUGE margaritas, even better food and wonderful ambiance. I love to sit on the outside patio, the patio has a nice fountain and a big tree providing shade. The salsa, chips, and tortillas are all made fresh. You can see the tortillas made right as you walk in and you can taste the quality of the menu. My go to is the Fajitas Del Mar with a side of cheese sauce. The staff are all very friendly and service is great. Our server Jessica was very attentive. I have never been dissapointed with Casa Guadalajara. ❤️

Oh, man, this place is fantastic. Great selection and excellent food. Staff are dressed in historic costume and are friendly and professional. We ate on the outdoor patio, with plenty of shade and great ambiance. Handmade, fresh tortillas are exquisite.

Called and requested a reservation for tonight. They don't take same day reservations but will do it a day in advance??? What! Oh, but she was kind enough to give me the name of other restaurants in the area with live music for tonight. I wonder what the owners of this establishment would like of that? Thank you for the referrals to other area restaurants we will be sure to bring our money to them instead of here. 😊

Service was excellent food was of poor quality and not prepared well at all. It is a poor example of Mexican food. I know San Diego has the best Mexican food I would never take a visitor there. I know better taco shops. The prices are also high.

I hosted a party on their outside "garden room" patio and the event was so successful in large part due to the service and hospitality of the event and wait staff! The food was also perfectly coordinated to accommodate my guests. Overall I cannot say enough good things about my experience! Casa Guadalajara is the PERFECT place for a large and fun group event!

WOW! Just wow! this place is absolutely incredible! My wife and I had a blast here. The food is unbelievably good, and the service is phenomenal. The prices here are very reasonable, but you must come regardless of anything! This place is a must if you are ever in the area.

Came here by myself one evening to grab a quick bite while on a business trip. Sat up at the bar and had a great meal. The place is quite festive , the service good and the food tasty. The place was jammed, good thing I was solo otherwise I would have had at least a 20 or 30 minute wait. So it's obviously a very popular place in town. I had the skirt steak platter , and ate every bite! The beef was tender and juicy, and well seasoned. The margaritas are enormous and delicious as well!

Great festive atmosphere. Fun place right on the edge of old town. Watch them make Fresh tortillas while you wait for a table (get there before you are hungry, there will be a wait) or go into the bar and try a spicy cucumber margarita. Strong drinks, lots of menu options, great service and quality food. We go every time we visit SD.

I grew up in Phoenix and later Los Angeles and I know good Mexican food. This is a great unpretentious classic Mexican place. Full plates of Americanized (but in a good way) Mexican soul food. Super cheap for what you get. And fresh made tortillas. Highly recommended.
