Fleming’s was great! Our band does a Christmas dinner and our old steakhouse moved. We had dinner at it’s new location and it was not as good so we tried another establishment but it did not impress us. We will be back again as a band and I plan on taking my wife in the very near future.

This place used to be very reliable for food and service. On the past few visits, service was spotty, and the steaks were far too salty. I wonder if they have changed chefs?

This an amendment to an earlier review that I wrote about the birthday party for my brother-in-law that had me being served a Fleming salad and not being pleased.
Mark, one of the owners called and offered an apology, he asked what I would need to make a difference in my dining experience. His integrity made the difference. This example of ownership needs to be acknowledged. Nicely done Mark

On Sunday the 10th of September 2017
I attended my brother-in-laws birthday celebration at the La Jolla
location. As someone that has served in executive dining rooms and food preparation, I was dismayed at the Fleming salad. Slapping a few lettuce leaves and tomatoes with a half a handful of dried cranberries on a plate
did not align with the reputation that Flemings seems to wish to project.
Food appearance and plating is key, this was missing. I sent a note to the corporate site and did not receive a response. This was a table of 6 and the bill was over $600 with the tip. At that price, I believe expectations should be exceeded, not dashed. If corporate wishes for this to be amended, I strongly suggest hiring what in the food service realm is called an expediter. Someone who determines if the output from the kitchen can be presented to the paying customer.
All the hard work in the world will make little difference if the details are left to chance.

Everything is delicious here. Entries, main, deserves, everything is just perfect. Also Dylan is a great waiter. He was very polite and professional. Highly recommend reastaurant!!!

Normally I would give 5 stars because the service is impeccable and the food is excellent but the last time, 3 of 4 at our table ordered medium rare fillet mignon and half was almost well done. I figured they had a hot spot on the grill. The other half was perfect but all 3 steaks came out the same.

Been here twice seated and once (recent) at the bar. SIT AT THE BAR - great bartenders and much less snooty of an experience, and at a pace that is reasonable Table service seems to be forced longer to give some type of an impression. (better recently, but two years ago - way too long)

Food is on par for the chain - reliable. I do like the little finger steak sandwiches though

For my birthday, Cam allowed me to treat myself to any restaurant in San Diego. I chose Fleming's because I was in the mood for a nice steak dinner and have had great experiences here in the past.

Since I haven't been here in a while, I forgot that parking can be a little confusing. There's street parking around the plaza, which you should definitely take advantage of if you see one. Otherwise there's a parking structure for the hotel, which I'm not sure Fleming's validates , or valet parking. We opted for the valet since we didn't want to pay the parking structure fees if Fleming's didn't end up validating our ticket.

Since I had made a reservation ahead of time, we were immediately seated. Luckily, we got a table in the back room, which was much quieter than the main dining area. I'll probably call ahead next time and request a table in this area again, because it was a much better experience for us.

Our waiter, Cason, immediately came over to see if we needed anything. He recommended a couple of drink options since I was feeling like a sweet cocktail, so I went with the Blueberry Lemon Drop. It was a little sweet for me, but still drinkable - I probably won't order it next time. Cam opted for the Peach Mule, which was actually a perfect level of sweetness for me.

Our reservation was for an early dinner, so Cam and I opted to split our meal. We split the Fleming's Salad, Prime Dry Aged Ribeye, Truffle Poached Lobster, Truffle-Parsley Mashed Potatoes, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Chocolate Lava Cake.

The salad was definitely one of the best salads I've ad in a while. I really enjoyed the refreshing lemon vinaigrette. We got it without the tomatoes and onions. I'm glad we split because we definitely got the perfect amount of salad that I wanted to start our meal with.

The main course was absolutely outstanding. Our plates were served piping hot and everything was delicious. We ordered our steak medium, which was perfectly cooked and the lobster was a great accompaniment. The truffle mashed potatoes were nice and smooth, and I'm sure they had quite a bit of butter in them, considering how savory they were. I also loved the brussels sprouts - the balsamic glaze was perfect and the pancetta was a nice burst of flavor.

The chocolate lava cake takes 20 minutes to prepare, so if you think you want it, definitely order it when you order your entree. Since we ordered it after we asked for our leftovers to be packed up, I ordered a glass of ice wine to tide us over. The manager who helped us pick out the wine was extremely nice and gave us a good explanation of all the wines available that matched what I was looking to drink.

The wait for the chocolate lava cake wasn't actually that long (I still recommend you order it early). When it arrived, it looked absolutely amazing and tasted just as good as it looked. The ice cream was topped with pistachios and the cookie that it was served on top of was absolutely perfect. I'm not sure how they managed to get it to stay so crispy despite having ice cream on top of it. The chocolate lava cake was also really good - the lava part was warm and delicious and the cake wasn't too sweet.

Overall, I hope to go to Flemings again soon. I know they also have a great happy hour, so I might go with Cam again to get drinks. If you frequent Fleming's a lot, I definitely recommend joining their Dine Rewards program, which gets you 50% off every 4th visit. We got $10 off our visit, since I was a new member.

My family and I love Fleming's! I decided to introduce my boyfriend to the Fleming's happy hour menu on a date night and now he loves it too! The $8 burger from the 5-6-7 menu is absolutely delicious!

My husband and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary here. The food was great but the staff was even more amazing. My filet was slightly undercooked so they took it back and cooked it through. To compensate for our inconvenience, which really wasn't too bad, Crystal offered a free dessert. We said it wasn't necessary but they offered again so we accepted. The dessert was accompanied by champagne and some truffles. I can't rave enough about how amazing our experience was. Kayla and crystal went above and beyond and we will definitely visit again! The food and service was wonderful, just what you'd expect from a fancy steakhouse.
