I just moved to morganton a month ago. The staff at the grace hospital were absolutely amazing. Yes, i was in the waiting room for close to 3 or 4 hours, but that is to be expected when you walk yourself into a hospital. Earlier that day i was verbally assaulted by an urgent care physician at psalms, so i went to Grace instead. Not only did i recieve respect from the whole staff. The doctor gailen made sure i got the medications i needed to get back on my feet while my nurse made sure i had as comfortable a visit as possible when you cant stop throwing up. Total trip was about 8 hrs from check in to check out and it was worth the wait. 2 days later im feeling immensly improved. Thank you to the whole staff!

Fell over a wall and bruised my shoulder blade and my ribs on the left side. Got whiplash as well. I was offered nothing but one pain pill. Cause of the way they were to me for a week now i can hardly move the pain is sooooo bad. I guess if my ribs were sticking out through my flesh i maybe would have gotten 2 or 3 pain pills. Cause nothing was broken i then felt like i was being treated as if i was a drug addict. Not cool at all. There maybe alot of people who lie to get pills but i shouldn't have to suffer due to other people who are idiots. I couldnt even get a pain shot. Ended up at Urgent Care where i was treated with respect and recieved pain relief. This was on the 4th of July and it took 4 hours for the smart ass doctor on call to even let me know my results. I never got a bed to rest in just an old wobbly chair to sit in. Sad this is the only closest hospital to go to. If i ever have an emergency again i wont go there. And by the way i ended up coming home with a staff infection. The place isn't clean at all. I only pit 1 star so i could write this and share my experience. So i warn you all dont waist your time there. I think the staff got there degrees from a box of cracker jacks.

I was there recently for a laminectomy to relieve back pain dr. Jason Zook did the surgery he was assisted by Jackie Dukes and his first class surgical team. The procedure went flawless and as far as I'm concerned was totally successful. My hat is off to these professionals. As far as Grace Carolina Medical system I have never been treated so well at any Hospital in the United States it's as if most needs were anticipated and taken care of before I could ask for them even the food was fantastic and that's saying something I'm a retired executive chef. I would not hesitate to have any procedure done at Grace Hospital Morganton and I commend and thank the folks there they are doing an excellent job thank you very much guys.!!

Dr. Meza has the best bedside manner and truly is the epitome of what kind of person should be a Doctor. In a world where people are treated like cattle in the health field (Doctors can only spend 10 minutes per patient for diagnose and treating) -Dr. Meza took the time and was genuinely kind and helped me with my debilitating head pain. Thank you so much Dr. Meza. You are WONDERFUL!

Staff is very rude and judgemental about patients and they do not know about my medical records.. They should look instead of thinking everyone is on drugs..

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I visited this site about a month ago. I arrived about 11 am to the er and it was me and three other patients, they called me to see the nurse at 1130 and tested me for the flu which is literally sticking something up your nose. I went back to the waiting room. The room began to fill up At 12 and was packed by 2. At 445 pm they finally called me back. They LITERALLY sat me on a bed in the hallway and told me I did have the flu and that was it. I saw the doctor for two minutes tops. I just received a hospital bill for 1200$ with a credit on it. I owe about 700$ for that?! This hospital is unorganized and does not care about patient confidentially considering I was treated in the hall with patients in the rooms around me. They also allowed patients who were not serious who came in after me go in before me because they kept complaining. Never will I go back to this hospital. Please drive to hickory or Asheville for better care!

My hubby and I just moved to Morganton about a month ago and we went to the ER twice, the wait was long BUT THAT IS HOW AN ER IN A HOSPITAL WORKS. You get called back and seen in order of the severity of your medical issue. My hubby just had inpatient surgery yesterday, they have been taking GREAT care of him tending to his every need and they've even been accomadating to me and have let me stay over night with him. I'm 8 months pregnant and I will be having my baby here, I have a very detailed birth plan and was pleased to find out that most of the things in my birth plan are this hospitals policies anyway where they weren't up at Mission in Asheville. I'm very confident that my labor and delivery will go well here. Excellent nursing staff. I will do another review after having my baby girl!

It was awful I waited for 2 hours in the waiting room and 45 mins in the room before anyone came. Now I've been here 4 and a half hours and nothing is still don't. If your hurt really bad hurt or about to die you could drive cross country before you will get fixed. Finely after 8 hours they tell us it was food poison and send her home. They don't have enough doctors to properly see people my advice is get more doctors or tell people when they come in that they don't have the proper staff to run properly. But the nurses are nice and very helpful

Terrible childbirth experience (much due to the doctor, Dr. Kirk at the next door offices, Women's Health Group - but he no longer works there). ER visit after receiving 9 staples and a 5 cm long, 2 cm deep laceration to the scalp was bad. I was there for less than one hour and they sent me home. Since I had no ride or money or ID on me, I had no way home, but they didn't care and I couldn't "hang out in the waiting room". This was 5-6 AM in the middle of April too, so in the hospital garments and freezing weather, I could not walk anywhere (and my injury). I've never had a good experience at this hospital other than childbirth class.
