I enjoy fly fishing so my main purpose in visiting was to fish Boone's Fork creek. The park itself is very nice with picnic areas with tables and BBQ grills, large parking areas and bathroom facilities. Of more interest to me was the stream that is accessed from here. It is a medium sized catch and release, fly fishing only stream. A very nice trail follows the course of the stream so it is easy to access from the parking area. I just had a few hours to fish the stream and I only caught one small wild brown, however conditions were not the best with a cold front coming in and fairly high winds. I am looking forward to going back and fishing it under more favorable conditions.

I only gave the park 4 stars because I visited at off peak times and there was still a steady flow of people on the trail and into the parking area. I feel sure that during the summer months it stays very busy. As I said, I am very much looking forward to going back this spring and will update this review after that trip.

Great place to spend the day with family or friends. Little to no cell phone service. This place is great, make sure you let the kids play in the creek!

This is a nice facility along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's close to Boone and Blowing Rock and is also near some of the best trails on the Parkway. Be sure to check out Price Lake, the Boone Fork Trail and the craft center at Moses Cone.

Our favorite campground! Just minutes to lovely Blowing Rock and a short ride to Boone. Walking/hiking trails and lake nearby. Family friendly.

Accessed off the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is a peaceful setting for a large lake. We stayed just to relax and enjoy the sunset. Wish to return for some hiking experiences. The lake is quite close to Boone. A must stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Went on the Boone fork trail here, gorgeous scenery along a 5 mile trail, somewhat tough in places but overall a good hike that rewards with multiple small water sights that make it worth the effort. The trail is well marked and maintained.

Amazing scenery, great place to let your shoulders down and just recharge your batteries. Nice trail around the lake, you can even rent a canoe and do some trout fishing.

This is a lovely place but can get crowded on the weekends. This place is good for a picnic on a warm spring day. I find something new every time I come here. I highly recommend stopping here.
