This place is a Joke. I've never stayed in a " Suite " with so much unfinished work. Exposed and unfinished tile work ( No Grout ), doors that won't close, our first room had a faulty heater, both rooms appeared as they were being booked with renovations in progress and incomplete. In a 5 star rating system, I would feel generous to give it a 2. I'm very disappointed.

Nice enough place. Mostly clean, comfortable, well located and cheaper than most other similar places. Deco is really dated but it was fine.

After receiving our keys and entering our room we were so horrified at what we found that we turned around and walked out. We found unfinished renovations which included; exposed electric wires, uncovered outlets, a broken lightbulb hanging on more exposed electric wires, drywall dust throughout the room, and a beautiful view of an empty decaying pool being used as a storage facility (quite a charming welcome). The curtain over the bed had accumulated so much dust and debris that it made our skin crawl. The pictures advertised by this property are completely misleading and their service matches the lack of attention and quality of the rooms. For your own sake and the safety of your family find other accommodations in Carmel. To make matters worse hotel “management” for lack of a better term decided that they would charge us the equivalent of 6 nights at this poor excuse of a dilapidated motel even though we were only there for 10 minutes. My husband and I have frequented Carmel for several years and are avid travelers and from time to time have come across less than great hotels this however, was by far the absolute worse. Not only are the operators of this motel unapproachable they are also deceptive and completely incompetent. Stay at your own risk!

Lovely place. I so appreciated its close proximity to the shops and art galleries, not to mention the ocean! We arrived very late and our room key was taped to the door, ready to go!

This is the cutest hotel i have ever stayed in. Not much of a free breakfast though, but i would stay again. The whole town is so quaint. A must stop, if in the area.

Paper thin walls/ceiling and outdated decor! Not worth the cost. Location was the only good part. Not recommended!!

We stayed here overnight, just to explore the turn and the beach for a day. If you know what you're getting - a clean room to sleep in and that's about it - you'll consider it fine. Decor is dated, parking lot is way too small, and the breakfast is basically some bagels in a box; but, it's close to Ocean Ave.

Nice room but the windows were facing a wall. Beds are awesome! The breakfast is not that great but is good.

Super small room. Loud neighbors. Heater and tv didn't work. Had to park on the public street overnight because they do that have enough parking. Room needs a makeover except the bathroom was nice but no tub just a shower. Overpriced!

We were very disappointed that breakfast WAS ADVERTISED included in the room rate, yet when we got to the lobby in the morning we were told there are no breakfast facilities we paid $93 for the room (Feb) and a further $45 for breakfast at a nearby cafe. We were offered an $11 rebate which we accepted but a week on - still waiting to see the money appear in my account..
This is a quaint little place about as far away from the beach that you would want to walk. We had a car and used the onsite free parking. Good access to the centre of town which is all between the inn and the beach. The room was actually nice and the bathroom was great with a good hot shower and organic toiletries provided.

we rented a king room for one night stay, it had a day bed in the living space which was great for the little one, it even had a trundle bed so if someone wanted to watch tv and the little one could sleep was totally possible. breakfast was decent not great but all in all i would stay here again

Stayed a couple of nights during a California road trip. Most expensive time of year so wasn't cheap, but lots of homely touches about the place and nice rooms made for a very pleasant stay. Conveniently located for the beach and the best attractions. Recommended as a more cost effective alternative to the more well known brand names.
