Great rooms and a great rate, far enough away from the beach and downtown that it wasn't too crowded, but still within walking distance.

Very outdated. Bed not comfortable at all and the pillows were probably the worst I've come across in a hotel --- flat and stiff -- the worst combo.
However, considering the choice of other accommodations in Santa Cruz, it's doable: the grounds were quiet for the most part, the door had a functional lock, plenty of hot water, and the air-conditioner worked through the night.

I was desperate for a hotel and also unaware of a car show taking place same weekend the university move-in was. So Ramada, sorry for this. For a non-smoking room, it reeks! TV worked first night, then forget it. The closet had hangers that don't adapt to rod, only had 3 to hang pants. Thursday night was quiet. Friday night was absolutely not. I noticed a bar across the street. Might have had something to do with all the fighting, slamming of doors and screaming doors down. $200 a night was a rip-off!!

Clean nice room, however the bed was a queen sized rolling cot. I sat on the edge and it started to top and would shift with the wheels. The other oddity was that there was no toilet paper holder There wasn't even a spot for one, just a roll of toilet paper sitting on top of the toilet.

Great LocationUber to boardwalk with ease. Included continental breakfast was great. Stay away from 2nd floor rooms. Musty and the cleaning crew must use old rags to clean showers. Odor like mildew.

For a hotel/motel in Santa Cruz, CA, this is one of the better ones, imo. Its not fancy, but if you're looking for an affordable room in this area, that's not gross, this place is good. It has a swimming pool, breakfast with a waffle maker, nice and friendly staff, and its in a good spot too. You could walk to the beach from here, but it would take you probably about 30 minutes? It's clean, and I really don't have any complaints about the Ramada, other than the owner's wife being somewhat rude to me one time!

Oh my mess. Drove here from PDX and landed here. 5 bedbug bites later, I'm at Coast Motel at 51 bucks, substantially less and happy as a clam. DO NOT COME HERE!

The price is right, but it is pretty ghetto. There were prostitutes and scary people. But it is good for the price if it matters.

Room was clean and comfortable with laminate floors, which I didn't expect. It was a nice change from carpet. The only things I would really change is the lightbulbs (to a warmer light. They were like fluorescent bulbs, and very bright), and to have an actual toilet paper roll holder (because there wasn't one).
