I had originally checked into another hotel for a work trip, but the A/C was broken and they had no other rooms. I found candlewood suites online, booked it and checked in around midnight. Check in was very easy, everyone was very nice and accommodating throughout my week long stay. The rooms are very cozy and well kept. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. Definitely recommend!

Exceptional location, accessible public transport, opposite to Santa Clara University, really nice. Big rooms, support staff is nice as well.

Very nice place. Great location near Santa Clara University. The suites are fully stocked with anything you would need got an extended stay. Clean withe a pleasant staff.

The front desk folks were super sweet, couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating, and ensured we were all set as up to our rooms quickly. The rooms are more than adequate, clean, quiet, and plenty of room. I will stay here again if I'm ever in town in the future.

Great price for the location and value! Love that I could cook a meal instead of eating out for the 9 days I stayed while I move out of state. Great restaurants within walking distance. Some people complained of hearing the cal/train in reviews, i never heard it but enjoyed being able to WALK to the Cal. Rooms are updated the beds + pillows were very (and I mean very) comfortable.
Manager is super helpful and tries to get to know her guests (class act). That's what I call great customer service!response / report this review -

It's located right next to the San Jose airport but surprisingly there was no noise disturbance from the airplanes at all. It's got comfortable rooms and a pretty neat cozy gym. It's around an hour away from Downtown SF but overall I would recommend staying here.

The laundromat has new washers and is top notch. The room is large and staff is very nice. Overall great place to stay.

Quite expensive place. They booked me on a high priced plan and did not inform me of the rates when discounted rates were available.
When asked about it, the receptionist just had to say that it was my responsibility to ask for lesser dates and they can provide options only if I ask. Not honest at all.
Rooms look good but the pathway to rooms are quite stinky. Definitely thumbs down for that.
Enquire, ask and re-ask the person at reception for discounted options. But yes, there's no guarantee that the option you've booked is the cheapest one because it all depends on the benevolence of the staff 😉response / report this review -

Room was well kept. Close to a Starbucks and bagel shop. One of the better gyms I've seen at a hotel. I would recommend staying there.

They offer free washing machines and dryers, but they smell like a toilet and are always broken! I first went there in Nov. My clothes finished washing but smelled like a dirty toilet! I told the manager, but she didn't know what to do. And 5 out of the 6 dryers were broken. 130 or so rooms have to use just 1 dryer !! The manager said she received approval to replace them. I stayed there again now for work, but nothing has changed! The washers smell like a toilet! And they still have only 1 working dryer. The dryers have been broken for at least 6 months, and they have never cleaned their washing machines. Don't stay here if you need to wash your clothes.
