5-star food with 1-star service. We waited an hour for a table, but the food was great. Unfortunately, our waitress never checked on us after the food hit the table. We were out of drinks for the entire meal plus the prime rib came without horse raddish and the waitress was nowhere to be seen to ask about it

Food and salads were very good the waitress was very attentive as well. Never had to ask her for anything. Defiantly a good go to place to eat. Will be back to enjoy.

I dined at the Duluth location on 11/24 around lunchtime. It wasn’t very crowded, so we got sat right away. The service started our great, but then slowly went downhill. Within ten minutes of sitting down, we had a young man come to our table with a sign asking for money. I have never had an experience like this at a restaurant and am not sure how this was allowed. I ordered the California Dreaming Salad as my meal. It came - looked great - on my second bite, I noticed a long, dark hair wrapped around several chunks of lettuce. I sent it back without asking for a replacement - was very grossed out. I stuck to eating fries off a family member’s plate. When the bill came, we were still charged for the hair-infused salad. I couldn’t believe it. I will not be dining here again.

We had some appetizers as our main dinner and enjoyed each one. The chili had nice flavor and mildly spiced, I had a bowl and my wife liked the chili with nachos and a side of spinach dip. The fried onion ball was perfect, nice crispy coating that did not get soggy. Our pleasant server James P attended our table and needs perfectly.
We will return, especially when the Christmas lights are up and the atmosphere has the added charm!response / report this review -

I've been to Californian Dreaming a few times and have always had an enjoyable time. The food is good, the drinks are good, and the staff has been pleasant. Low lighting in the evening and makes for an interesting ambience. It's a fun place to take the wife or friends for a nice time.

Great food, beautiful dining room, great service. We love the croissants with honey and the house salad dressing. This is a great date place for lunch or dinner, and also a good place for groups and events. There is a full bar and a large dining room on two levels. Service is always good and the food is delicious, hot and freshly prepared. Last visit I enjoyed the marinated steak and my wife had the barbecue chicken, which was really juicy and a bit spicy. They also have a kids menu with lots of options and the kids meals come with drink and a scoop of ice cream for dessert.

Our experience with our party of 6 was superior! Jermaine Ward provided excellent and quality service! He was prompt, attentive and in good spirits! His patience was appreciated because you know women are decisive! It's because of Mr.Jermaine and his great service We will be back and tell others what a wonderful place this is to eat and enjoy yourself! His good suggestions were on point as well!

I wasn't impressed at all. I will say cosmetically this place is very nice. It sits off of the beaten patch. I drive this way every day 5 days a week and didn't know it was there. There is plenty of parking. The staff was very pleasant and the service was great. HOWEVER, the food was bland. I had the blackened chicken pasta. NOPE! NOPE! NO! The pasta had absolutely no taste to it. I had to ask for more cajun seasoning because salt and pepper did not do the trick. For $15 I would expect tasty food. I may try them again but it would be another dish not that one.

i went last night with a bunch of my friends for my friend birthday dinner and i have to say it wasn't the best. the food was bad and smelled and tasted weird. the service was bad ! it rook forever for them to come out with our checks and then they took forever with my change that it got to the point where i left without it. wouldn't recommend anyone coming here.

Great restaurant with excellent food. Went for a business dinner in a large group and the staff was on point. A nicer restaurant, but not overbearingly fancy to where business-casual attire would be faux pas.

Great cocktails and good food. The service was amazing which is mainly why I am rating 5 stars. Truly was a great experience from start to finish with having Angelique as our server. She went over and beyond the steps of service and made sure we were comfortable at all times. Will definitely be coming back here soon.

The food was good, but not great. The soup and salad were tasty, but for the price, just o.k. The location is a bit tricky to find your first time. But very convenient to the highway. Next time I will go for something else on the menu, or skip the combo for one or the other. Definitely will try again.
