Food is good. Was there early for dinner with very few customers, though, and the servers were more interested in their social life than in serving. It was better in the past when I was there later in the day and more customers kept the attention of the servers.

Don't be put off by the exterior appearance. It is tastefully appointed inside. We went mid afternoon. The background music contributed to the upscale atmosphere enabling us to converse quietly and be heard. The service was excellent and the food was superb. It is not inexpensive but good value for what you receive.

Fantastic food. Had the cranberry crusted stuffed chicken and it was excellent. GF had a few tapas and they great too

Just average place to eat. Giving two for entree although the martini and chocolate soufflé deserve a higher rating. However, a place that cooks a steak in a cold pan does not deserve even a three. If you are not using a grill, hot grill, to prepare a medium rare steak do not place it in a cold pan and bring out a grayish in color steak to the customer. Bad, just bad. It wasn't returned as we were there for business meeting and couple we went with raged about the place. Smoked mozzarella ravioli was decent, not great. I'll go back to Label next time I want a decent meal in Johnson city.

I had the best meal this Friday night at Café Lola. I have ate here many times but, there was something amazing about the food tonight. I ordered the special which was steak and a crab cake. The potatoes were something amazing. I don't know what was different but, they need to keep up the good work. Hats off to the chef!!!

This used to be my favorite place to eat and drink in Johnson City. I am however reluctantly giving it three stars. Once recently I had to sit for 20+ minutes with my birthday guest after having been seated only to eventually walk out and leave because the wait staff was either too busy leaning on the counter in the next room (I got up out of my seat at the bar to look for her and seen it for myself) or legit not wanting to serve us; we literally never received menus, water, or service other than escort to our seats at the bar. I want to give this place one star just for that episode of service. The next time I went here the wait staff was phenomenal (obviously not the same staff as before) however she was the only one working and very busy. We reluctantly chose a couple drinks and tapas before leaving and eating elsewhere this night. I want to add that the food here is amazing but at their prices you deserve at minimum decent service.

Cafe Lola's is amazing! I first came for the ambiance and loved it! Then, learned of their "Free Flow" Tuesday's and fell in love! All you can drink wine and tapas! The staff are all super sweet and attentive! I love having a French inspired bistro local to get away to! Great wine selection!
