Yesterday evening my wife and I were to meet another couple for dinner here, it was our first visit to Cafe Capriccio. What a pleasant surprise. It was like an old world Italian restaurant. The staff, service and food was excellence. We seated ourselves at the bar to wait for the other couple. The bartender was Kateri Ratigan and provided excellent service and was very attentive. She added greatly to our first visit. When our friends were not able to meet with us we decided to stay at the bar and have our dinner there. Kateri made it a great experience. We will be returning often.
Food was great. We sat in the bar area and the bartender was really nice and she was super attentive.
My favorite Italian food in Capital District. It looks like a hole in the wall from outside, but feels very nice inside. I've heard their Italian food is the most similar to what you would find in Italy, but I only know that it's delicious.
The best. Period. People's biggest complaint is the décor being "dated". It's a 30+ year old "old school" traditional Tuscan restaurant. It's not a trendy hipster hangout. It's got old school Italian art on the walls, the best apps in the region, dinners to die for, and desserts that can't be beat. If you want a fantastic, authentic and delicious real Italian meal there's no better spot in the region.
Quaint a cozy but chic. The risotto and ravioli are special depending on available ingredients. A great wine selection. Very good bread. The desserts are phenomenal.
Little neighborhood bistro with classic Italian food in an intimate setting with excellent service
Great place and great food, it was our anniversary and they helped make the evening special.
Went there for dinner before a concert at the Times Union Center. The meal and the service were wonderful! Portions were BIG. I'll know next time to get an appetizer size so I can get dessert ❤
Amazing food, great service. Want to go back tomorrow!
IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME BUT THE FOOD WAS GREAT, HOWEVER IT IS COZY AND THE TABLES WERE CLOSE TO EACH OTHER MAKING IT SOMEWHAT UNCOMFORTABLE IF YOU WANTED TO BE IN A MORE PRIVATE SECLUDED SETTING BUT THE FOOD MADE UP FOR IT.
One of our favorite places. Always new options on the menu. Intimate space, knowledgeable and enthusiastic wait staff, great music on Fridays, and an adequate wine menu. Always a romantic favorite
Authentic Italian food Amazing!
Went here for Restaurant Week. Really fantastic food! I had the grilled tuna and it was fantastic, cooked perfectly and tasted great. My girlfriend got the fresh pasta with sausage and even though I was happy with mine, I wish I had gotten hers. Reminded me of my grandmother's homemade italian cooking. Tiramisu was fantastic as well! Service was A+
Visited from California. Had a great meal with my wife, Diane. Jim and his employees made it a special experience. Thank you Jim.
Great food, great service, would recommend for sure.
