This was my first time at Busboys and Poets and I enjoyed myself. The Nachos were so good! It was a quiet evening but maybe I will go for an event or something.

A nice business, a good place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. When available they use local and organic products. I had the Neptune, a crab eggs Benedict that was very good. Fresh squeezed organic OJ also very good. The place was packed and there was a wait, about 20 minutes. Because of the emphasis on organic food, you do pay a premium for that. All in all a nice brunch experience.

Nice place, very spacious, and open. Only downside is when it’s cold outside and you sit at a table for more than an hour, it gets a little chilly inside. They just need an window heater to keep the cold out. The Greek Salad was the best salad I had in a while. Feta, pepper slices, some type of lemon vinaigrette dressing, olives, and tomato; it was really enjoyable with some shrimp on it too.

Atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. Food and drinks were good. It got a little crowded later, but by that time we were ready to leave. My coworkers and I had a good time.

My parents and I always go here when they come to visit and we do for a reason. The food here is delicious and the service is always fast and friendly. The sweet potato fries are a must-try if you are a fan of sweet potatoes, and their nachoes are a wonderful starter. They also have a variety of vegan and vegetarian options.

We have dined here a few times and also the U St location. Nice mix of people with many options for everyone to choose from on the menu. Service is usually good as well. For those who may want to just get a drink the bar is also a great option to drink and mingle. If you are interested in live poetry they have many nights where you can stop in and listen to poetry and music. You can even try yourself!!

Good food, very loud piped in music. Great community participation. Diverse menu. Book store as well. Good bar, good coffee, menu is health oriented.

I had a wonderful time here. This place is usually packed so make a reservation. This place serves soul food and is good at it. I also attended the open Mic. Only three guests wanted to perform so they brought in the staff to tell jokes and show off their talent. It was a good time.

Omg! Food is fabulous. Crab cakes are perfect. Catfish is scrumptious. Will always come back.. especially this location.

Food and environment was good. Prices were a little high. Our waiter actually forgot about is (literally) though. Could have been honest mistake, but not the best first impression of service.

Have been coming to this place since they opened. They have gotten so much better in terms of wait times for the food to come out. Lots of gluten free and vegan options. Also the quality of the ingredients is our favorite part.

Just love this place. Cozy, laid-back, urban, chic and intellectual stimulating restaurant. Food is greatOrder the nachos!!! Every Thursdays there is a great open mic that starts at 9pm. Definitely a place to go with friends.

The food is generally is tasty, well seasoned, with good portions. They have a good tap list and very well balanced house mixed drinks. There are a lot vegetarian and vegan options, probably the best around town. The biggest problem with this place is the service. All the servers are nice and make great food suggestions, but its very slow and servers don't come around as much as other restaurants. This isn't a quick in and out place, plan to spend at-least an hour and a half. Decor is ok, tries to be a little too bohemian book chic.
