Great food! The fish is wonderful and the staff is very friendly
Had dinner. Bit pricey for the quality of food but the building was nice and we'll kept and the view was amazing.
Was not impressed with my stay at the Buckhorn. Little to no staff in mid-afternoon. Had to run several credit cards to pay for room. Didn't go straight to room as we had other plans. Got in that night. Random towel on floor behind toilet. Floor sticky. Nasty musty and alcohol smell. Had to have all windows open all night. It was cold. Bed was old and musty. Decor outdated. Nobody around in morning until 11AM. Check out 10AM but restaurant opens at 11AM. Satellite locked up and had to reset. The only thing that worked was the WiFi. No way to call out though, not even a phone in the room. The Timber place up the road is same price and much nicer. Very disappointed they charged as much for something that is worth a quarter of the price.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious.
Service was great. Food was very good as well. It is quite a scenic drive to the location. There is no cell service to speak of so download your Google map offline of the area before going if you need directions.
it's a nice central inexpensive place to stay if you are traveling all over the UP. we came when the special was pay for 4 nights get 3 free. it's a very clean room. bathroom is updated, but there isn't really hot hot water for shower. the bed is better than what we've experienced for these types of motel/hotels, but it's older style mattress (you know like the one's you flip, not rotate). the decor is outdated, but if you're up there to travel then you're not really in your room that much anyway. the restaurant was nice and food was tasty, little high in price. we only ate there once while we were there. they stated there was complimentary breakfast starting at 6:30, but we found out it was more like 7 or 7:30, whenever the young man decided to get ready to make the coffee and put out the bagels. one morning he reminded my boyfriend we have coffee in our rooms, which we knew, but it wasn't as good as their coffee. we are just early risers as we had many places planned for an entire day. it was quiet while we were there, which was nice. it is a little out of the way, into the off beaten path but, we didn't stay out too late to worry about hitting any deer. for the price we felt it sufficed our needs for this vacation. i would recommend it to others.
Very friendly staff and beautiful view and great food
Great service, great food, great staff, rooms are clean and cozy and I cannot say enough about the amazing owners! Thank you! Will be back and highly recommend your resort!
One of my favorite places to stop on my sled and on my Harley. Great food at reasonable prices. Also has premium gas.
Just returned home from our stay there and we still feel very lucky to have found this spot. It's about 15 min outside of Munising, and was the perfect 'home base' for our U.P. sightseeing. The staff is very friendly (mostly family members that work there) and the bar and restaurant were terrific! The food was superbly prepared and portions were generous, and having a bar / restaurant on site was so handy after long drives around the state. There's even a million-dollar view of a small lake right outside the plentiful dining room windows. Gorgeous spot, great people, modest but comfortable rooms (new windows, great shower / water pressure, and heat works great) and terrific dining / relaxing at the lodge make us want to come back already.
