I was taught early in life that you need to have a lawyer, a plumber and an auto mechanic that you can trust. I still haven't found the lawyer and plumber but Bucaro Brothers are the mechanics I trust. I was referred to them by a friend I and I thank him often. My engine light went off twice and both times I took it to BB. Each time I took my car home feeling that they were honest and did a great job. Furthermore they did it for a fair price. I rarely write reviews but will for those companies I think deserve it. As for those people who wrote bad reviews because of a phone call you definitely made a mistake because knowing a trustworthy auto mechanic is worth their weight in gold.

Was paranoid about some potential transmission or engine trouble, and was recommended this place by Cassidy (another great tire and battery shop). The staff was so nice and, after test driving my car, concluded nothing needed to be fixed--just a suggestion to put in some STP. No charge to look at the car, just an honest opinion. Unfortunately, they don't take appointments (first come, first serve), so get there early. Have been telling everyone about this place--the best auto care people I've ever dealt with. Will be back next time I need any maintenance.

I cannot say enough about Bucaro Brothers. The nicest people, the best service. Okan went out of his way to help me and my aging car - and as a strapped-for-cash single mom, he'll never know how much I appreciated his kindness!!!

ABOVE AND BEYOND! I had an AC evaporator hose leaking for my Jeep Grand Cherokee and instead of charging me ~$1000 for all of the labor, they found a more efficient way at 1/4 the cost! Stand up place, will definitely be going there with any other vehicle issues.

From the mechanical side to the front desk customer service the treatment was terrific. They followed through on the appointment, the car was serviced properly and the price was fair. I truly believe they are running a fair and honest auto shop which is not easy to come by. I will bring my vehicle back here as neccesary for sure

Extremely rude would be an understatement, tried getting an update on a vehicle in to be looked at a full day after it was dropped off. Rude, extremely short, asked for a time frame and told me to have the car taken somewhere else. Exact reason why people in the automotive industry have a poor reputation. Absolutely zero customer service, wish I could do more to encourage people to avoid this location.

Trusted reviews and glad I did! My daughter away from home attending Loyola University and her car broke down on Lakeshore Dr. After reading the reviews and checking BBB I chose this shop.
The team there took a quick look at it and called me right away giving me a choice to repair it or pick it up. They removed the upper timing belt inspection cover and saw the belt was coming apart, then they bore-scoped the cylinder and saw bent valves. This was major and I had a shop back home that did related work on it a month earlier so I picked it up.
The car had to sit there for 4 days, they helped me load it and showed me pictures of the internal damage and so onwhen I asked for the bill they said "no charge", glad to help a "starving student" and her step-dad!
I appreciated the straight forward tell it like it is, no fluff or selling me on things I don’t really need (like tear it down to see the problem) and where a handshake still means something in the auto repair industry.
The shop could have easily charged me storage, diagnostic fee and like every other shop you go to a flat charge for environmental reclamation whether or not any grease or oil was used.
This is now our go-to shop because they do business the old fashion way where it matters, especially in a time where technicians are incentivized to sell more parts abusing the term “preventative”.
Thanks, Guys! It’s nice to know there are places like this you can send your family to and know they won’t be taken advantage of.
