The food was delicious. The atmosphere fitting for the holidays. Both indoor and outdoor seating and menus are fantastic! I highly recommend the place for a visit.
Amazing place. It was an honor and a privilege being here for our annual Holiday Party with my coworkers. This place for this year’s holiday party was a perfect choice. There’s a large area to dance. The staff is friendly. Food was tasty & delicious. Near to public transportation.
Came here for birthday dinner evening before the parade. Wasn't expecting much as chose for location but was pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent and was super kid friendly. Will return. Thanks for making my evening special
It's one of those iconic places located in and near other iconic landmarks with it being situated in Bryant Park and right behind the famous New York Public Library. I wanted to try this establishment since it is iconic but I just never got a chance to until until I had a work lunch. Lunch is usually really packed so be sure to make reservations or get there early.
We sat on the rooftop with a nice view of Bryant Park and buildings overwhelming us from above. We ordered a bunch of salads and sandwiches for lunch. The food was standard- the salads were good and sandwiches nicely made. I think you could easily opted for a more economical version at the Wichcraft in Bryant Park, but for the view and atmosphere, Bryant Park Grill is nice.
We had a lovely experience at Bryant Park Grill. The wait staff was extremely attentive and the food was fantastic. I had a salad and the tuna tacos which were delicious and fresh (& cute!). This really is an excellent restaurant for people watching as it has large windows overlooking the park.
Great Bar & Bar food. Multiple Vegan options on the bar menu. Great drinks. Kim & Jen are awesome bartenders!! Fun place to eat in the grill room for clients, family, or a respite.
Torn between giving 3 and 4 stars. The atmosphere and drinks were definitely worth at LEAST 4 stars, but the actual food makes me want to lower it. The food was all fine, nothing bad, but it just didn't feel worth the price to me. My boyfriend and I had been eyeing this spot for a while and decided to try it out. Sitting out on the patio in the park is fun for sure, and our waitress was warm and cute and very helpful. The sangria was exactly to my taste, and the drinks my bf ordered came out quickly despite how busy the place was. I'd definitely come back here for drinks, and maybe some small nibbles, but I don't know if I'm down to spend this much money for what amounts to normal food. I feel like you're in large part paying for the atmosphere. Tbh I'd love to come back on a night when there's something cool happening in the park!
I see the reviews and would agree with some comments, but I didn't experience others.
The outdoor Brunch/ Lunch setting is nice.
This is a nice atmosphere, overlooking Bryant Park.
All members is our party rated thier food a 4 out of 5, agreed with the atmosphere, and the service would come in as a 3.
Not sure I would do Dinner here, but definitely Breakfast or Lunch, during nicer weather months.
Drinks are way overpriced, but food was prices as expected.
Drinks are good, but don't price them equal to a craft cocktail place!
What a terrific place for brunch on a nice day, their huge sun splashed patio attracts tourists, students, families, and locals. Service got off to a slightly slow start but remained consistently fast and friendly after that. My perfectly poached eggs with creamy avocado and sweet heirloom tomatoes were a good healthy responsible choice. The impossibly wonderful pastry basket beforehand could have been my entire breakfast by itself. Highly recommended.
Great location. The food was also really good. We went there as a big group (my class) and we received great service. Our meals were good and came pretty fast. We were also placed in the end where there were more quiet and windows, compared to the noisy small tables in the middle
After having a deafening Christmas party here a few years back I was expecting the food to be as good. As it was the food was okay but not as good as at the aforementioned party.
But the main problem we had was the service. From the start, when we asked for a table, the greeter wasn't terribly warm and said that there was a half hour wait for the main dining room or the outside seating. I'm assuming that was down to pre-booking as I could see free tables in both areas. So we got seats at a table by the bar area.
Before sitting down I noticed the lack of cutlery at our table and other tables around it. Should have been my first sign that there would be a problem. The second red flag was when no waiter came to the table for about 10 minutes. I could see the rest of the tables around us weren't getting too much service either.
Eventually, the waiter did arrive to give us some water and sort of apologized for the wait and stated that they were busy. We told him we were ready to order. He then went off for a few minutes before coming back to take our order.
10 minutes later the waiter came back to tell us that the bread basket we had ordered to start had run out. On a Sunday for brunch? This place is really starting to look incompetent.
Our food did at least come out reasonably quickly, though the food was only okay. And when the waiter asked whether there was anything we needed I mentioned we needed some cutlery
We decided not to attempt to have dessert as frankly we'd had enough of the service after that. Some serious quality issues with the service at this place. I'm guessing, like Tavern on the Green, it's next to a tourist spot and the management don't think they need to worry about quality. Though the food at least was better than Tavern on the Green, but that's not saying much.
Only go here if you don't have anything better to do.
Really enjoyed the food here. The service was a little slow to start but the food came out surprisingly fast. Very nice setting overlooking Bryant Park.
Super fast attentive service. Very good for a business lunch. Food is good enough, but nothing great. Beautiful space on Bryant Park.
We looked at a number of venues to have our wedding in New York City, but it was Kristi Ohlin and her team that made us feel like we would be taken care of. No one gave us the feeling that they truly cared like Kristi did. She and Tom more than exceeded our expectations for our wedding in August 2016, We booked the entire venue for our wedding of 100 people. We had the cocktail hour on the roof, dinner and the dessert buffet in the grill and cigars and a photo booth in the garden. Our guests cannot stop talking about how great our wedding was at the Bryant Park Grill.
Kristi was great in working with us and all of our vendors. She was always professional and extremely detailed and organized. She and Tom took care of every single detail including the bride and groom cocktails, the menu, happy birthday for my nephew and the groom’s son, sparkling cider for my nephews and step son.
The service was wonderful the night of the event. The event flowed perfectly from the cocktail hour to dinner and dancing to the cake. For the cocktail hour, the hor d’oeurves kept coming out and our guests never had an empty glass. The food was a delicious. We had additional desserts brought in and Tom had them set up in a beautiful display. The Bryant Park Grill has very colorful chairs and we decided to go with lots of color for our flowers to play off the chairs. Also, we had votive and hurricane candles placed all along the windows for a very romantic feeling.
Had the Thanksgiving special today. Great food from appetizer to dessert. I had baby kale salad accentuated by roasted pecans and shaved Parmesan cheese and it tasted fresh and sweet. For the main course I had sole fish, with fresh veggies on the side. The fish meat was cooked just right, tender and juicy. Finally for the dessert I ordered the deep dish apple pie, which I saw many people ordered too.
