I loved it, the beds were comfy, there's free breakfast, along with free WIFI. It also has a pool. We had minor connection problems with the T.V. but it was fixed.

Very clean rooms. Free WiFi. Continental breakfast. Stores within walking distance. Swimming pool and the staff are very friendly and helpful if you need something. We stay here quite often.

The only reason it got 2 stars instead of 1 is because of prior service. Now I know this won't detour anyone from staying because it's one of a few in a 15 or 20 mile radius. My issue was I paid for a night at 1200 am and policy is you have to be out by 11 am the next morning but my argument is that I want to remain until 11 am the next day, not the same day, it's only right to charge me for one complete day, literally I'll only be here 1 complete day why should I pay for 2? Common sense. I I stated that if I check in at 2 pm I would have to check out by 11 am, that's 21 hrs, why can't I get 21 hrs of stay also, her response was no it's not. Well Briarwood Inn as usual has shown its true colors. Guess I'll check out in the am, not to prove a point, just because I can. Welcome to good ole Geneva.

I would rate this hotel 3 stars but since it is the only hotel located in the small city of Geneva Alabama and is better than most other public places in Geneva, im giving it 4 stars. There is a pool located at the very front of the building but it is rather small and has a gate around it. I have seen a couple of other visitors walking their dogs outside so i assume it is pet friendly. Very quiet place which is a good thing especially since my visited was during the last few days of December and there were quite a few cars/trucks located in the parking lot. The rooms were kept very clean which is the most important feature for me. The beds had nice, clean, fresh, linens as well as the bathroom linens. Each room has a flatscreen TV, mini-fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, luggage storage, walk-in shower with removable shower heads, granite tile walls, and granite countertops. The bathroom was quite spacious. I did not ever speak with anyone in the lobby but i did have a few run ins with the housekeeper and she was a very sweet, middle aged, well kept, and helpful woman. There is a walmart located directly across the street and a Dollar General next door. I would suggest this hotel to friends/family.

Room smelled like mold and mothballs. Bathtub drain was clogged, the bedspread and sheets smelled like cigarettes. That room needs a thorough deep cleaning. The location was good. Across from Walmart and Dollar General Store, and THAT'S a good thing because you have to pay for the extras that are usually complimentary. This could be a really nice hotel, but some improvements are critical.
