For the most part Brevard College is a great place. Class size is great, the teaching style is fantastic, and so far the professors have been very helpful with my daughter who started school here this spring(August 2019).
It is a very liberal/left leaning school though. It does not align with Christian values well at all. It says it is associated with the Methodist Church but when asked, the professors will tell you it is loosely affiliated with the Methodist Church.
If you are of the Christian faith, be prepared to be tested. Not only by the students but by the professors as well.

Attended in the 1980s when it was still a two year school. It just wasn't for me. Too small, mostly male, and the cold rainy springtime turned the campus to mud. Last time I was there the place seemed kinda sad and run down. I left after a year. Ended up going to a real school and was glad I did.

I went here for a year and it wasn't that bad. The professors are very knowledgeable and hands-on.

I took just a few courses while working on teacher certification and loved it. Being a small school, instructors were attentive and helped me achieve my individual goals.

Brevard is a beautiful town in the Western NC Mountains. While small, if you like the outdoors - hiking, camping, kayaking, waterfalls, etc - you will like this place!

Even being more of a city girl myself, I can tell you that it doesn't take long for it to grow on you!

I was accepted to this school back in 2003 and unfortunately I chose another school to attend. Although I enjoyed my college experience, I really do wonder what life would be like now if I would've attended this prestigious school. If I could, I would go back in time and choose this school over my other choice. #GreatSchool

The college is currently in a major state of growth. We have a new President and Dean who both care greatly about creating significant learning experiences related to each and every class. The faculty care about the individual, and they make time for students. It's a small school, but that's part of what makes it so great.
