We were lucky to go at a slow time. The restaurant sits under a large bridge so be prepared to turn off the main road before you think you need to. Homey, fish camp feel. Very friendly service and huge windows overlooking the water in the lunch section. The fried shrimp are a particular treat as they are very lightly dusted before frying they don't have the traditional heavy batter. Remember to save some leftovers for the sweet duck in the parking lot who can catch better than most major leaguers! We very much enjoyed our late lunch.

Great food and atmosphere.
We ate here an they way back home from our vacation and by accident we really did save the best for last. It's a little hard to find when you are just going off the billboard road sign because it's under the overpass. But the food was great and scenery of the brackish logon was a sight to see.
I would recommend this place to anyone, not just seafood fans because they have a bolstering menu.response / report this review -

Not impressed. Hush puppies were good. Grits are instant. My brother said his grouper was good, mine had no flavor. Mom did not like the tilapia, other brother didn't like the grilled shrimp, husband wasn't much on the grilled chicken. Staff was friendly and took good care of us. Food came out fast. No changing table in the women's restroom.

Have been coming here many times over the years and every time it's still great! The waits are LONG, but the food is great. The fried shrimp is very goodvery lightly breaded and delicious! The cheese grits are a real winner!!

My wife and I went while visiting Panama City Beach.
The staff were nice. Their sweet tea and hushpuppies were very good but everything else was just "okay". We had the gumbo, grouper sandwich, and the deviled crabs. Food was cooked well and served warm but not hot. Gumbo was very mild, tasted good not great. Price was a bit steep for what we got but it IS seafood so at least it is understandable to an extent.
I can't recommend this place for anything but a single trip to see if you like it. Nothing to write home about.response / report this review -

They do NOT take reservations. We had party of 5. Long wait in spite of going early.
NOTE: Bar is physically SEPARATE and CASH ONLY. There is no mixed drink service in the dining areaYOU have to go back to the bar if you want one with your meal.
ALSO NOTE: only the smaller dining area has a view of the bay. The main dining area has no viewit is just one big room.
Menu is MOSTLY fried seafood. Food was good, not great, especially considering the hour wait. Service was ordinary. One of our meals was served incomplete and catching the waitress to get it corrected took forever. Not $$ but $$$.response / report this review -

Food is good. I had the grouper with onion rings and all was cooked very well. The service was very good. Our waitstaff were attentive and yet unobtrusive. The drive is well worth it. I would recommend placing reservations. We had no wait time for our large group of people. I do know that if you do not place a reservation the wait time could be 2 hours or more.

This is a casual dining place with a great menu. There was eight if us, with three children in our group and everyone was pleased with their selection. My husband doesn't eat seafood but liked the chopped steak with onions and peppers. The grouper was really good and fresh and the hush puppies were the best we had while on vacation in PCB. It was a little hard to get to since there is no sign to point us to the right road, but worth it. The children loved all the seashells there while we waited and found so many big ones. The ducks we're also fun for them. I'd definitely recommend it!!

Would recommend to anyone, they have delicious Apalachicola Oysters, gator tail, awesome bay scallops. It's a very unique and off the beaten path restaurant. Well worth the drive.

It's a nice restaurant on the water, and it is very quaint. However, all that wears off when they want you to pay $20+ for a meal that gives you frozen crinkle cut fries that you feed a five year old and canned green beans that have been buttered and salted to hell. They should step up their quality. Isn't that what you pay for?

Pitiful! We started with onion straws, sad appetizer. Looked like they were the end of a late nights batch. A handful on a plate with more grease than onions. We then ordered dinner; fried shrimp, fried catfish w/oysters & scallops. All 3 tasted like they came from the same pot, different texture but same flavornone!!
A local who was excited to bring guests turned out to be a disaster! Sad to say it took us 45 min. to get there only to stop at Waffle House on the way home to get a better dinner. $ 90.00 for a pitiful dinner experience, sorry to say this restaurant has gone a stray!!
Oh dessert was awful, a slice of key lime pie the size of a quarter!response / report this review
