Staff looks miserable all the time management and owner are lazy and complacent. When this place initial opened they were amazing. Sad to see a place with so much potential just give up trying to do better.
Would have been better if I was drunk and I think they're counting on that here. I had a hanger steak and it was so tough I could not chew it. My husband had an enchilada that looked like it had lived under a year lamp for the past decade. It seems like they think they can overcharge for crappy food by dressing in black. I'll never go back.
After all the good reviews, we were eager to try this restaurant. We must have went on a bad day. The wings were pretty good. The fried chicken was dry and hard. The medium rare prime rib was well done and chewy. The staff was geared toward the locals. People would stop by to chat and hug the staff, while patrons wait for their cold food. Suffice to say, we will not be going back, or recommend it to our friends.
Food was overall very good, although the burger was very tough. We almost lost a drink while my husband attempted to cut it in half. Our waitress seemed to be overwhelmed, and we relied on other wait staff to bring us sometimes correct drink orders between our long wait times for food. We saw other diners come and go before even getting our entrees. A little bit more work and organization, and this would be a nice little eatery.
Woah. I was not expecting the food to be as good as the reviews said but WOAH. both pasta dishes I had were INSANE. the worst part about this place is that I just happened upon it on a road trip, and it's not really feasible for me to go back. So you, person reading this review, if you are able, GO to Boitson's and enjoy!
The kitchen always seem to get "backed up." The wait staff will never apologize or acknowledge your wait. A 36 dollar filet is rarely cooked to requested temp, rare is rare, period. The view is blocked by sumac and vines. Fantasy is over.
Boitson's has been a great addition to uptown Kingston. Beautiful bar. Cauliflower buffalo wings are a favorite. Always a selection of great raw oysters. Great view off the back deck in warmer weather. Cool spot. I'd never say no to dinner at Boitson's.
I really enjoy the environment here. In the summer they have movies playing out back over candlelit tables. Their is a bar on the back porch as well. Their food comes in very good sized portions considering how flavor packed they are. I always order the oysters for some reason and I am never disappointed. Overall highly enjoyable experience every time.
Decent beer selection, the fried chicken left so much to be desired. For the price it's no better than Cracker Barrels Sunday Special Chicken. I actually prefer the Cracker Barrel more. The staff was very pleasant though.
