  Be aware, the road is completely snowed out right now. You have to park about 4 miles from the beginning of the trailhead and hike through multiple feet of snow to even reach the parking lot for the trailhead. The area we visited was beautiful even though we couldn't get near the actual lake.

  Awesome spot. Pretty long haul in the car up from the main road on gravel but once you get up to the top there is a parking lot and a bathroom. The hike into Blue Lake is very moderate and totally doable with kids. There are a few steep and muddy spots but very manageable
