While a bit of a drive this is a great hike that allows you some amazing views. The hike includes 30+ switchbacks to get on top of the pass but from there you can see all the way to Puget Sound on one side and Lake Chelan on the other. You can stop at Marblemount on the way back to get a bite to eat and try out Cascade Farms for some ice cream or fresh berries.

One of my favorite day trips is up
the Cascade River Road starting in Marblemount
and ending at the Cascade Pass Trailhead!
This is a very serious trail, not for beginners but
    conditioned backcountry visitors!
Strenuous is an understatement, well conditioned individuals
will get a great workout! Bring tons of water!
If you want a very scenic drive with tons of waterfalls,
and rushing creeks filled with fossils and minerals, agates, etc.

Take this drive and stop by any creek that is
safely accessible and look for agates or leaf print fossils.
The trailhead is a good way to burn calories.
Always carry extra water, and prep for rain/snow or foul weather
as hiking in any alpine area, weather can change rapidly, be prepared
for everything and carry bear attack spray, not mace.
Mace only angers a bear, pava balls or actual bear spray is the best deterrent, next to loud noises to repel bears.

Never give any bear food as you instantly go to
the bottom of the food chain as in you are next
    on their menu!
Pack it in and pack it out!
Carry a camera as its an awesome place to view and photograph!

A very good place to visit.
If you visit in the winter and or in the spring time you see lots of running water in creeks, rivers, and waterfalls.
Very good place to take lots of photos.

Be ready to hike uphill for what feels like forever. The pass itself is so worth it though! Best on days without too many clouds because it will obscure the view. It is also a really long drive to get to the parking spot where the trail starts. The road is dirt and pretty bumpy. So this place is a lot of effort for a beautiful reward at the end, and a nice downhill hike after. I would go again in a heartbeat!

Incredible views all around. This trail can be deceiving though, so be careful. When there is inclement weather, you want to take it slow as it gets very slippery with all the run off towards the end. Lots of parking at the trailhead, and a ton of switchbacks at the beginning can really throw you for a loop, but the rewards at the end are completely worth it.

A (relatively) easy way to get up into the mountains and see what North Cascades NP is all about. Amazing views from the pass looking both ways!

I'm a frequent visitor to the North Cascades National Park and the hiek to Cascade Pass is truly something special. You end your ~3.5 mile hike up easy switchbacks to a beautiful mountain landscape with a 360 view of the rugged North Cascades peaks. There's usually a ranger wandering around the area to answer questions and even a solar toilet to keep the place clean!

Hike on further beyond the pass to Sahale Mtn. Camp to the north, begin the Ptarmigan Traverse to the South, or head west down from the pass into Horseshoe Basin and beyond!
