  terrible road, wonderfully gorgeous trail. beware of the road. my jetta did okay, but other larger vehicles appeared to get stuck. the road is very narrow and steep and busy on popular weekends

  Amazing hike! You get to view everything from the forest, flowers, mountains, creeks, and of course you get to see the hidden lake on the top of the mountain.

  One of my favorite hikes in the Pacific Northwest. Gradual incline; endurance required, but well worth all the switchbacks. The views for the second half up to the summit give you a real sense of the 'cascades'.

  Worth the pain and suffering getting to the top. One of my favorite hikes.. Old growth forest, to meadows, to rock fields, to mountains & snow You get to see it all. Spend a night by the lake You won't be sorry.
