  Among the best food I've ever had in a restaurant. The quality and originality of the dishes rivals Maui's Mama's Fish House and Boulder's Flagstaff. If you are ever in DC, and you you're not too tired from Smithsonian-ing all day, make a dinner reservation.

  I accepted an invite to Black Salt and totally regret the waste of time. The male server was down-right rude, and the $12 oyster Rockefeller was just as salty. Left without paying a dine after a polite complaint to the manager.

  We have dined at BlackSalt three times this year. We found it overpriced and food marginal. Most recently yesterday. Oysters were old, mushy and almost non edible. House wine selection at $25 a glass is way overpriced. We had starters as entrees with one entree and the bill was $300. We will never return!!

  I must say that we received phenomenal service. Great restaurant for a romantic night out or an important business meeting. Plentiful wine selection. I had the pasta with duck and it was delightful. The highlight was the service though.

  I really enjoyed the ambiance of having a fresh seafood market outfront. Seafood quality was excellent. Here for my stepmoms birthday, my family are big seafood fans. Aside from some of the top end sushi bars this place had the best quality seafood I've seen in DC. Unlike most places, seafood was not overcooked. Sauces were on point not overly salty or sweet. Portion sizes were about right not too large, but not small like some high end places. Not pretentious at all, but very respectful of ingredients. A bit expensive, but you're definitely buying quality. Big fan.

  Fish market smell wasn't the most appealing but it's only at the front of the store. Rustic ambiance. Food was okay. Maybe a little overpriced for the amount of food. I got the french toast and it wasn't anything spectacular. I took a bite of my friend's burger and it was a little salty. Servers are great. 4 stars for them.

  Wonderful menu, specialty seafood (try the bouillabaisse!) With varied atmosphere from vibrant chatter front bar to hushed quiet room in back. Excellent service, good wine list.

  You've got to go there are Happy Hour from 5-7 pm weekdays. Great prices on possibly the best oysters and seafood in DC. The oysters are schucked. And they are fantastic.

  Foods are absolutely delicious. I, as a person from Japan, vouch their quality sea food, and cooking. Their service is very friendly and caring, as well as entertaining. Definitely one of the greatest moments in my time in DC!

  One must pass through a small, but well stocked fish market as this restaurant is entered. And from there, expectations of great seafood are expected. Those expectations are exceeded once a meal is order. Great seafood accompanied by sophisticated cocktails.

  Overall it's great as a returned customer. I'd come back for sure. Just one small thing I feel the service is not quite there. There was a big group sitting next to me. So someone just pulled the chair from my table to accommodate them without asking me or my friend. And there were plenty empty chairs around.
