This has been the best dinner I've ever had. The restaurant really went above and beyond to make our experience an unique one. I made a reservation for my wife's birthday and our 3rd wedding anniversary about 6 months in anticipation and the moment we set foot in the restaurant we were treated like we were the only ones. The chef's course dinner is really amazing, our server Anthony provided a superb experience and so did the management team as well. As soon as I come back to DC I will visit them again, customers for life.

One of those places you remember forever because of the great menu, the amazing cocktail and wine selections the desserts are also stunning, be sure and eat the flower you’ll love anything you order so don’t hesitate the waitstaff and ambiance are truly a blast from Paris you will want to return over and over I’ll be back for sure!

Beautifully romantic and cozy location! Excellent food, especially the lamb which is to die for! Make sure to ask for the apple tart for dessert. You won’t regret it!

This is a fantastic, cozy, romantic, intimate restaurant. The decor included lovely art, and the tablecloth had real rose petals on it for accent. The service was perfect. The staff was patient and not rushing diners at all. Water glasses were continuously filled, and when a course was completed, dishes were whisked away.

The food was some of the best I've had in DC. Their salads, soups and vegetables were fresh, delicious, and creatively presented. It all made the experience one of the most enjoyable I've had in DC.

AMAZING! I wish I could give it 10 stars. My boyfriend and I went for restaurant week, and he couldn't have made a better choice. We had well made martinis at the bar before being seated at an adorable, private, comfortable table. The menu choices were varied, and I wish I could have gotten one of everything! the lobster bisque, the steak, and the creme brulee were all fantastic, and I wish I could eat it every day. Everyone we met who worked there was polite and friendly, and the ambiance was top notch. This is my new favorite place!

Intimate, charming dining experience with a super-friendly staff. We went on a Saturday for lunch and asked to be seated in a quiet spot -- we had the room to ourselves and could hear each other speak. Don't go if you dieting. Even the vegetarian sandwich shouted calories.

This is an amazing place. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff is very nice and the ambiance is the best. Very typical, and with a lot of taste. We stayed 3 days in Washington, we are French and we went 2 times!!

Food is outstanding. I only knock off a star because some of the portions are small. Really small. Like you leave hungry small. So definitely ask before ordering. But service is top notch, the atmosphere is charming (sit outside if you can), and the food is terrific.

We went there this past Sunday evening, March 7, 2017. This is an incredibly romantic restaurant with amazing service and fantastic food. The tables for two have red curtains around them that create an increased sense of privacy, there is quiet French music playing in the background, and the serving staff are attentive yet unobtrusive. I was there with my wife to celebrate 30 years together and it was everything I could have hoped it would be. The atmosphere was such that even mediocre food would have been ok, but the food was fantastic. She had the rack of lamb and I had the sea bass - both delicious. The wines suggested were perfectly matched to the dishes, and we topped it off by sharing an order of profiteroles. The bill was not cheap, but it certainly wasn't outrageous for what we got. Also it isn't a place where they focus on rapid turnover. We ate at a leisurely pace and never felt rushed. I should note that they have tables for larger parties and I would certainly go there with friends. I highly recommend Bistro Cacao to anyone looking for wonderful evening's escape from the outside world.

Intimate, romantic European decor. Perfect for dates and close friends gathering. Authentic French food, while price points are reasonable. My visit of two people, ordering a four course meal costs us $140 (before tips).

Gorgeous, lush, intimate decor. Excellent french cuisine, I had a very well prepared steak frites and tried an exceptionally rich duck breast. The wine list was extensive and varied, with some inspired cocktails as well. I would recommend for a date night or a small family dinner. Price wasn't too bad either. The service was on point, without the stuffiness of a typical French restaurant.
