My boyfriend brought me here for our anniversary and it was amazing. The Sushi was great and so was the service. I can’t believe I hadn’t discovered this place before. Just the best place ever!

I am Japanese so I can only compliment that sushi is fresh which is must for any sushi restaurant. Fish at Kaz is fresh always. The waitress is very courteous and friendly. All is all I always have good experience so much so I am taking my friend to have lunch there tomorrow.

Great sushi, fantastic hangar steak dish, we loved it! Highly recommend. Wife who is very critical of sushi restaurants even thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great fresh sushi every time but it is pricey. I already spend too much! Upscale sushi that tastes great so it’s definitely worth the money.

I'm originally from Japan. I was very skeptical about any Japanese restaurants in the US and in DC. But I can confidently say, Kaz sushi bistro serves authentic sushi. Service was great too. I'll definitely come back again. My American friends loved sushi too.. service was great..

The sushi is decent and the service is quick, but this place is on the pricier side for the quality and service. We came here because the restaurant was rated as one of the best sushi places in the city and while we were satisfied with the meal, it did leave me wondering if this really is one of the best sushi restaurants that DC has to offer (I doubt it).

Come here if you don't mind paying a premium for decent sushi.

It was my 1st time at Kaz. Great food and great service. We tried the avocado/crab, our first ever and it was delicious. The sushi was fresh. We also enjoyed the seaweed salad. Everything was very nicely presented. We will go again.

I sat at the sushi bar. One chef in particular made an effort to talk to me and I appreciated that. My food was delicious and it was presented beautifully. My only complaint is the price- it seemed high for what I got on the plate.

If you want impeccable service, this is the place. The sushi was outstanding and the drinks were wonderful. I would have given it more stars if they let me!!!

The server was warm and friendly. Nice reception at the front desk. The food was served at a nice pace. Several of the dishes were excellent, others not as much. Really love the spinach/mushroom salad, brussel sprouts, New Zealand mussels. Thought the signature Napoleon was kind of tasteless. The octopus could have been grilled more. Loved the shrimp tempura roll, the crunchy eel didn't seem to have all that much eel or crunch. Generally, this is one of our favorite Japanese restaurants in DC.
