The customer service is lacking. I've visited about a dozen times and only made purchases on a few occasions.

The staffing levels are far short of what's necessary most of the time. One cashier and one counter person on a Friday afternoon is terrible.

I don't mind waiting for a full staff that's busily helping customers, but I find that's rarely the case here.

The meat prices are decent on occasion, but not worth the hassle. This would be a regular stop for me with just a bit of improvement on the service.

I have been here many times. I go back because of all the great reviews I hear, but never seem to experience. The meat is the same as you'd get at the grocery store, so why bother. The women behind the counter don't know anything about meat. I asked if the grade the meat was. She didn't know what I was even asking! HOw can they not know THAT?! I'm done here. She was also rude.

Absolutely love the meat. I only eat meat from Birds!!! I do wish that the specials were posted Sunday night or before open Monday morning, because thats when I like to go is Monday morning! :-)

Aparrently they pick and choose who they want to give good service to. This place has the worst customer service and a very poor selection.
I was giving this place one more chance because of convience. I had gone there today intending on spending over 50 dollars on meat. I had taken a number and was waiting at counter for 10 minutes while person infront of me was ordering, ( it was only him and i at counter for most of his order) he finished and as he started walking away the lady who came in when guy was almost done went up to counter and started placing her order, never giving counter lady chance to call next number, and instead of counter lady saying one moment this lady has been here before you she just proceeded to take her order. I put my number on counter and as i was walking away i heard a snotty remark saying i needed to wait my turn, i turned and said i was 78 i had been waiting my turn, but you took the lady after me without calling any number.
I will never step foot in this store, and i will tell everyone i know about my experiences here ( not the first rude encounter from this store) as a server i can spread the word pretty quick. Apparently if you look like you have money you will get good service here.
The poor quality and limited selections, and rude service will have me happily driving the 15 extra minutes to SOBE MEATS IN WALKER

My husband recently went to Birds and ordered a three pound package of country style ribs that were on sale. When he got home we had three packages of ribs (about $15.00 dollars worth) We like ribs so we didn't call or complain. Bad mistake, they were about 1/2 fat, tasteless and tough. I called Birds and left a message for the meat department two days ago and received no response. We go out there at least five or six times a year and usually spend close to $100.00. I will never waste my time with Birds again.
