The new patio is great. Outdoor fans. Sunday brunch from 11 to 2 with a limited menu and good brunch drinks.
It was my 3d visit there. And the impression grew. down and down.
I should say - the inside placing is very small - you almost touch neighbors on the next table. Of course no tablecloth (with prices $ 20+) .
The selection is small - there were 3 of us and for 3 different meals it was all that we could order. The portions far too expensive, actually small in size ( for the money) and in pretty ordinary taste. Chicken of Waffle didn't get that spicy souse like it should be and actually was exactly here in spring. Meats - not seasoned and had plain taste. Wine..wow, too very expensive to actually pretty ordinary stuff ( like $8 per glass in any other place in this city) .
Overall - the place is too pretentious but very too ordinary with very poor tasteless décor ( just inside) . Very ordinary eater without any special direction or kind of cuisine andthat "local fresh market " in distance 80 miles doesn't sound that fresh and doesn't excites in the meals.
Well, Cream Brule was good.
I don't see much potential in this place for the city.
Went there with my wife's boss and coworkers and I absolutely loved all the food, wine, and craft beer they had available. Owner was extremely friendly and professional and so were the servers. I will definitely be going back for more of the escargot!
Excellent place to eat and drink. Great wine and interesting food. One of my favorite hangouts.
Cute place, great area, phenomenal drinks. Some of the most inventive drinks I've seen in this area. All around an A+ place, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a chill, unique place to spend some time. Perfect for just reading poetry, or meeting up with friends.
Perfect date night venue! I tried three or four things and everything came out fast enough, and was fantastic. The live entertainment has been good each time, and the new patio is nice.
Red Door is awesome ..reminds me of eateries up north where I am from. Great food, craft beer, lots of wine choices . One of the best local restaurants in Lakeland for sure! If you are tired of chain restaurants and want to try something new and tasty check it out!
Love this place. When the miss and I have time we love to come here. The food is fantastic and the beer and wine selection is always changing and always good. With the addition of a heated outdoor seating section it makes it all that more special. The wait staff is friendly and helpful for pairing drinks with food. It's street parking but it's free. You can also park across the street at the museum too. Just remember you car has to be out by 12:am.
Richard and the staff at the red door are phenominal. Chef Jason always has a fresh, seasonal menu. The food and service is superb. They also hold fun events like wine market mondays (where half the proceeds go to a local charity.) This place is a gem inn the Lake Morton area. Go see for yourself.
I recently made reservations for a rehearsal dinner for a party of 25 at a cost of $30 per person + tax. At the time of paying the deposit and agreeing to the contract, I was told that there would be an outdoor patio with a fireplace, lights, live music and a beautiful spread of food for the occasion. The week of the event, I received written notification that if the restaurant did not finish their patio renovation, the restaurant would be closed in order to hose our event indoors. Not only did they not fulfill any of their promises, they failed to discount the bill for our special event. In fairness, they did provide a round of drinks "on the house" but they didn't even talk with us first to ask if our preference would be to receive this or negotiate the costs. I was also told the evening of the event by the owner that he would take a close look at their costs and get back to me to see if he could provide a discount. It has been 2 weeks since the event, I have emailed and there has been no response. This may be a great, local place to go for a glass of wine but I absolutely DO NOT recommend working with this establishment if you have a special occasion. Although our event was still special, it was because of the love and friendship of the group that gathered. The food, the venue and the lack of service for such a special occasion and considerable financial investment was the worst I have ever experienced in over 15 years of event planning experience.
