Visiting family in Wythville. We traveled from West Texas. This place is absolutely beautiful. I don't remember the lady's name that was working, however she was so pleasant and friendly. Made the whole experience of being a tourist wonderful for once.

The views of the surrounding mountains are majestic. The ownership of the store were friendly and made the stop well worth it.

It costs $6 to climb the tower, but it's worth it on a nice day. The tower is not for anyone unable or unwilling to do the long haul up the stairs or those afraid of heights. The store itself is right beside the tower, and the drive out through the mountains is beautiful. The amount of reasonably priced food (ice cream, fudge, hot dogs, etc), great local and tourist gifts, and the general atmosphere make for a fun visit!

This place is wonderful, everything you could want from a country store. I wish they would rethink the lookout fees since we didn't want to climb the tower and the drawbridge wasn't worth 4-6 per person, but even still, highly recommended if you like country stores

Such a beautiful view, the store has wonderful crafts and embroidered linens and stuff, I loved the country style, they sell delicious country fast food and homemade jelly. Loved this place.

Historic tourist attraction on the top of a mountain. Ads used to say "you can see five states from the top of the lookout tower". Local products for sale. Some days they have live music and/or dancers.

This uncrowded attraction has great views. It is close to I-77 on US Route 52 - once the main road. Years ago it was much more crowded. The store has excellent ice cream made in a local creamery. On Sunday afternoons, they often have live music.

Great views. Friendly staff. Always have the opportunity to meet local artists, musicians, authors, or craftsmen on weekends. You can grab hot dogs and ice cream there but it is a good place to pack a picnic too. Make sure to walk around the trails.

Stopped to enjoy music on the porch by Tom Roush on a clear Sunday afternoon. The general store has consignment booths with handmade articles by locals, offers hot dogs and ice cream and homemade breads. The lookout tower is not for the faint of heart. Children were enjoying the swinging bridge connecting viewing platforms. Truly a gem in the middle of winding mountain roads and a particularly good stop for motorcyclists.

This is an awesome place. We have been there twice now. We have climbed the sketchy over sized erector set, over feet tall, if I remember​ correctly. It's a bit scary. The souvenir store is quite pricey, but cute, rustic, and quaint.
